Willow Valley BaCC, Summer 4: Uni 1A

Salix University now has 6 households! I will therefore be splitting the semester up into 2 chapters.

Venyamin grew up into a Far East outfit – a honeymoon hint, perhaps? – and moved back to Willow Valley, where he’ll be seen at the end of the season. He created the 24th household, which means a new free community lot.

Mauro and Anya rushed immediately for the double bed, where Mauro found out he’d inherited money from one of the Cookes.

Dimitri officially moved out a long time ago. Officially.

Anya changed her major to Biology, to be in line with her new LTW to top the Medical field.

The genie left a magic lamp! None of the 4 inhabitants of the house particularly need money, and I’m pretty sure that’s the only wish available from the magic lamp, so it was put away in the attic for future need.

Mireia invited Michael over, and he was quick to apologize for his thoughtless behavior during his household’s rotation.

Time for the big Start of Semester All Playable Bash!

We begin, naturally, with a woohoo.

Followed by a jealous, tearful former lover bursting in.

Then there was some slapping…

And then some heartfarting of the recently slapped.

Then Mireia and Michael decided to use the double bed to continue their makeup process…

While Irina was busy working on her assignment.

Isaiah, who just ended his relationship with Mireia last semester by cheating on her with Mhairi, then decided to get upset about Mireia being with Michael.

Okay. I think the relationship is really good and over now.

The power couples remained drama free outside.

The party was a roof raiser, no doubt helped along by 4 woohoos.

Mireia wanted a pottery bench to help with her burning desire to throw a pot.

Demi came over for pancakes one morning, and talked about how hard she was working on her schoolwork.

This semester’s contribution to the house was an addition to the party room, with a stage for musical instruments.

The house held a toga party, to comply with their mandatory 2 parties per semester minimum. Unfortunately, nothing interesting happened.

Mauro and Anya went on a lovely Dream Date. She seems to be more into him now that she’s not a Romance sim anymore.

Then Mauro sat down and studied Cleaning in hopes of impressing her.

The portraits of the new residents were completed and hung in the entrance hall.

Mireia invited Michael over and greeted him enthusiastically.

He was happy to agree to a committed relationship.

(One of the biggest benefits of having InTeen installed is committed relationships for adults. Per my rules, Mireia can’t get engaged until she’s in her junior year due to the possibility of changing aspirations. But hopefully this will keep Michael from cheating on her with her sister.)

They celebrated in the traditional way.

Everyone finished the semester with A plus grades. Mireia’s aspiration roll gave her no option to change her aspiration, so she’ll stay a Family sim and is legal for engagement now.

40 Almond St

(Dimitri has graduated, but he’s hanging around campus this semester to spend more time with his fiancee.)

Marya and Orlando moved back to Willow Valley, creating the 25th household.

Romina and Dimitri enjoyed their extra time together.

“You guys, I’m trying to do my term paper. Could you maybe take it into your bedroom?”

Nastasia had a bit of a rocky start with her new roommates.

Pretty soon she was able to bond with Dimitri by gossiping about the dorm cafeteria worker.

This semester’s improvement to the house was some solar panels on the roof. This should hopefully eliminate their bills and earn them a small credit.

That evening, Nastasia invited Goopy over for some fun.

After he left, she stayed up into the wee hours and finished her portrait.

Every sim in this house is a neat freak. I love it.

If you’re wondering where Romina and Dimitri have been this semester, this is where.

Meanwhile, Nastasia expanded her list of conquests.

Sure, guys, that’s a great place to watch the clouds. Lying right across the path.

Nastasia spent her entire childhood eating nothing but grilled cheese, and rolled a grilled cheese secondary aspiration. She was a little confused at the weird foods in the dorm. Fortunately, she can do the cooking here, so it’s back to good old grilled cheese.

Romina and Nastasia took their finals early, and both maintained their 4.0 GPAs.

Nastasia rolled the option of changing her aspiration to Knowledge, but that does not work for her at all, so she’ll stay a Romance sim.

70 Almond Street

Sisters Irina and Akilina Carr rented a house just for the two of them to share.

It’s another Maxis house, although this one is at least cute with some landscaping.

Inside, it’s fully furnished but needs some work. What’s up with the Maxis obsession with half baths stuck in the middle of the house? Why do the bedrooms have a foyer? And the house was clearly designed for 2 parents plus 1 kid, but there’s no way either Akilina or Irina is going to put up with a single bed in a 3 tile wide room.

Just a few small changes make it much more livable for two college kids. Removing the half bath and the little entrance room to the bedrooms left room to expand the 2nd bedroom to fit a double bed.

Irina immediately got on the phone while Akilina went in to pay the semester’s tuition.

She then waylaid and befriended Raebeth.

Akilina invited over Ericka, the gardener, and was pleased to discover that they wore matching undies.

Once Akilina was done with Ericka, Irina took her over.

Meanwhile, Akilina moved on to another redheaded Ericka. This one’s a cheerleader.

Late that night, Akilina was outside wooing another potential conquest when some guy drove up in a limo, got out, and started doing the chicken dance.

Irina was confused at her sister’s arrest, but didn’t know what she could do about it.

Akilina was taken to a secret castle and told she was a member of the Salix Sepulcralis Society.

A couple of her past conquests were among the members, along with a random dormie she’d befriended.

Akilina kind of liked the blazer, and thought it might help her pick up more chicks.

In fact, might as well get started right away.

Akilina’s only use of the secret society’s funds was to buy a couch on which to complete her conquest.

Akilina returned home, where she proceeded to maximize her creativity while painting Irina’s portrait.

Then the ladies headed down to Dance Fever for some fun on the town.

Irina decided she might as well do this secret society thing, too. Unfortunately, Vyn wandered off after just a few minutes.

Akilina got her 17th woohoo.

And her 18th

 Irina found another secret society member to befriend.

Then she invited Komei over for a date, and fell in love.

Akilina got #19 with Celeste, her cousin Venyamin’s old flame.

Irina finally got to use the photo booth…and…um…I really hope that bubble is just noting that Akilina’s secondary aspiration is Popularity, and not a swoon over her sister. Because weird.

As soon as they arrived home, Irina immediately got on the phone to call some of her 30-some besties.

Akilina invited Celeste over to hang out.

And got her 20th woohoo, achieving her LTW!

The house got some solar panels in celebration (and in support of my quest for no bills in the neighborhood).

Irina found another secret society member.

(They seem to be everywhere now. I wonder if they only started wearing their jackets when Akilina was inducted.)

I don’t know how Akilina was able to concentrate on her term paper in the middle of this zoo, but I’m sure being permaplat helped.

A sim finally made lobster correctly! Figures that it’s Colin with his butler coding. That’s the second meal he made after coming over as Celeste’s friend.

It wasn’t a surprise to anyone when the limo pulled up that night.

Irina put up with the chicken dance and handcuffs gracefully, since of course her sister had already told her everything that was going to happen.

“Eh, this is kind of lame.”

“Oh, well. At least I can meet some new people!”

Back home, Irina invited over Herbert Goodie for befriending while Akilina slept in.

Once Akilina woke up, the sisters headed to their final. They both got A pluses, of course, and are now juniors.

Akilina rolled the option to change her aspiration for family, which totally doesn’t work for her, so she’s staying Romance.

Irina is the very first Uni student to roll a 6, which means I can pick any aspiration I want for her. But I already love her as a Popularity sim, so that’s where she’ll stay.
