The Bendett Family

I downloaded some new poseboxes to spice up the family photos. I’m not sure I like it.

The family had less than $400 in the bank, not nearly enough to pay their taxes, so Ashton headed straight to the ballet bar to earn a body point for his next promotion.

Marisa made a delicious breakfast of grilled cheese for everyone.

The Bendetts do Moderate Skilling, so Devan sensibly got his skill point before school.

Also, he keeps getting that thought bubble. He’s a Romance/Cheese sim, so it’s rather odd.

Off to school! The Bendett kids don’t have college funds yet, so they’re in public school. I think the Bendetts and the Gavigans are about the only families not in private school at this point.

Marisa was home alone with Cyan until Devan got home from school. She loved all her kids, but she was quite happy that she and Ashton had decided there would be no more babies.

(Previously I haven’t put Family Sims on birth control, and let them have as many kids as they wanted. But with my recent explosion of ridiculously large families, I’ve changed my mind. Once Family sims get to their ideal number of kids, I’m going to roll to see whether they go on birth control or not. So the Bendetts are done, hooray!)

snapshot_bc7b7921_a01f40b2Devan brought Adam Carr home from school.

Marisa headed to work just as the kids got home.

Ashton got a promotion to Captain Hero!

Geoffrey and Tayla were exhausted and both needed naps.

That night, it was Cyan’s birthday! Marisa missed it due to work, but Ashton was excited enough for both of them.

Cyan seems to be an oddly formal toddler.

Drina and Geoffrey celebrated the occasion with a wicked pillow fight.

I decided to keep the formality and the pink for Cyan’s makeover.

I’m not buying them new clothes, but Cyan’s lucky – she has 3 older sisters whose hand-me-downs she can wear.

Ashton got started on the toddler training right away.

Marisa topped the Dance career, completing her LTW and unlocking the career!

Homework time went a little late, thanks to Geoffrey and Tayla’s naps.

With two promotions to the tops of careers, the family had made quite enough during the day to pay the taxes, and they still had $9000 left for college funds!

Devan’s already got his college fund, thanks in no small part to his own efforts with outing gifts and such. With the promotion money, they were able to get Drina and Kat up to $5000 each, and get $2000 each in the bank for Geoffrey and Tayla.

In theory I should wait until Reno Day, but the bathroom situation was driving me nuts. They have 5 bathrooms, but only 3 of them are furnished, and the downstairs bathroom only had a tub. So I replaced it with a tub-shower combo. There are still less than half as many showers as people, which is a problem when everybody wants a shower in the morning, but it is slightly improved.

They never made it to the shop yesterday, so Marisa headed in with Ashton and Devan first thing in the morning. They got a Best of the Best Award and got the store up to level 8. They also earned about $4000.

“Oh yeah, I’m hot. Especially with a door through my face.”

Back home, after the kids left for school, Marisa took her turn with the toddler training.

Ashton flew off for his first day as Captain Hero.

Automatic dog washer FTW!

Marisa finally had time to get to the sewing machine. She hoped she would get her silver badge soon; she knew the kids wanted new clothes, and she wouldn’t mind a new outfit herself.

And then…Ashton got a $50,000 bonus at work for defeating a giant robot! Marisa took care of the money, topping up all the kids’ college funds to $10,000 each. With $10,000 in reserve for Cyan, they still had about $15,000 left over.

Again, even though it’s not Reno Day, the bathroom situation was driving me nuts. So the two ensuite bathrooms were furnished. Now they have five furnished bathrooms and everyone can take showers, hooray!

Devan didn’t bring anyone home from school, but he did catch Anthony Thayer walking by shortly after.

Tayla brought Zhenya Pederson home. She was the only one who got a school bus friend.

Geoffrey and Drina enjoyed a few games of red hands right after getting off the school bus.

Kat’s the only one whose fun doesn’t tank at school. Fortunately, with Ashton’s bonus, they can all start private school on Monday!

Let’s go fly a kite…

Ashton got home from work and went straight to the toy bench to replenish the supply for the store.

That evening, it was time for Kat and Drina to grow up!

Drina grew up very sporty. I wasn’t sure about that dress at first, but I think it’s growing on me. Good thing, since even though they have money now I’m still holding out on the “no buying clothes” thing. I still like her hair, and I think she looks good without makeup, so no makeover for her.

Drina is a Fortune/Popularity sim with a LTW to top the Adventure career.

She scoped the room, and I wasn’t surprised when Adam Carr lit up. Drina likes brown hair and glasses. Unfortunately for her, Adam’s currently going steady with Catriona Bruce, who’s cheating on him with Akim Pavlov.

Kat also grew up in a kind of weird but workable outfit. She’s quite lovely, but I’m still going to change up the hair a bit.

Kat’s a Popularity/Romance sim with a LTW to top the Dance career, just like her mom.

Marisa once again missed the birthdays due to work. Alas. Maybe I’ll let her start using up her vacation days. Her new LTW is to be an Architect, and I’m pretty sure that has better hours.

Kat post-makeover. She is of course quite lovely, although very Face One-ish.

The girls celebrated their newfound teenage abilities by eating something that wasn’t grilled cheese.

Devan decided he was tired of waiting for his mom to get on that silver sewing badge, and tried out the sewing machine himself.

Unfortunately, while the Automatic Dog Washer is helpful, it doesn’t fill the hygiene bar much. Phil was using it to get himself out of hygiene desperation, but that’s about it. So Devan interrupted his sewing studies to give Phil a bath.

In the morning, the family sat down to a delicious grilled cheese breakfast. Except Tayla, because there weren’t enough chairs.

I could buy them more chairs since I’m breaking the Reno Day rule anyway, but it amuses me that they have a table for 4 when they have 6 kids.

Tayla decided to change into her older sister’s hand-me-downs, since the sweater and scarf combo was a little warm for spring.

In this house, Fortune sims don’t get a money tree to pluck whenever that Make Some Money want hits. Instead, they get to make and sell a Sir Bricks-a-lot.

Tayla and Geoffrey got to know their little sister on the block table.

Ashton and Marisa took Kat and Drina down to the store to earn some badges. Both girls got their silver sales badges and a cashier badge.

Back home, it was date time! Drina and Kat both used the crystal ball, and got perennial favorite George McCarthy and Akim Pavlov, respectively.

Devan invited Varya over. She asked to bring a friend and brought Semyon, which is a refreshing change from teens bringing their parents or grandparents along.

Yes! New clothes!

Akim for some reason kept rejecting Kat for a date, despite two bolts. But she did manage a first kiss with him.

Devan and Varya had a lovely Dream Date.

Kat has 2 bolts with Semyon! It’s a good think, since Akim’s being a dork.

Devan was the first to get new clothes! Nothing too exciting, but it definitely suits him better and is more fashionable.

Kat finally got her date. Akim’s loss is Semyon’s gain – at least until next semester when he goes to college.

Ashton taught Cyan her very last toddler skill, the nursery rhyme. It was a bit bittersweet.

Drina had a nice date with George, but then hit the telescope for her 8th logic point.

I’ve decided to leave her in the tennis dress. It suits her somehow.

Another new outfit! I like the shirt, but I don’t really like the mesh; her proportions are a bit too Barbieish.

The parents slept in, and it was chaos! By chaos I mean talking on the phone, skilling, and talking about antique cars.

Then it was time for Make Friends on the Lawn! Today’s guests: David Ottomas and Eva Cooke-Pavlov.

Kat was just waiting for her turn with David, since she and Devan both wanted to make friends with him.

The Louies came over for family Sunday. I think it’s the first family Sunday Eldred’s been invited to.

The kids got to know each other with an epic water balloon fight.

Apparently no one knows the Slap Dance, since we’re back to the old standard of smustling.

These two keep running into each other.

Way to be engaging guests, guys.

Lunch was served – grilled cheese, naturally.

Poor Tayla always seems to get the short straw when it comes to chairs.

Marisa was then chained back to the sewing machine until everyone has decent clothes.

Cute new outfit for Tayla. Yay, neither hand-me-downs nor outerwear!

One last “talk to” for platinum…

And Cyan is a child!

She now seems to be rebelling against her oddly formal toddlerhood, and prefers to be a cowgirl.

I’m going to go ahead and leave Cyan in her cowgirl outfit, so Geoffrey gets the last new clothes for now. It seems he and Tayla are the Yellow Twins. I didn’t do that on purpose, but I like it.

I had to buy a new bed for Cyan, so as an early Reno Day present I replaced Tayla and Geoffrey’s beds as well – there wasn’t enough money when they grew up to get them the good beds. Now all the kids have the same beds, which makes my OCD self happy.

Cyan had her very first grilled cheese sandwich, and began to learn all the intricacies of grilled cheese from her mother and brother.

The other upgrade for Reno Day is a desperately needed new dining room set. Everyone can sit down now! (I got them 3 one tile tables because I didn’t like any of the 3 tile choices.)

Marisa had free time, without me telling her to skill or sew or having to take care of the kids, for the first time in forever. So she danced.

Private school, hooray! Now the kids will only need 1 round of red hands instead of 2 when they get home.

Um, Ashton, I’m glad you’re so excited, but I’m pretty sure that was meant for one of your daughters.

I tried to get them to do this right after the kids left, but no, they decided to do it at 12:30. On the couch right in the living room, where their children will have no choice but to see them as soon as they walk in.

After the teens got home and waited on the lawn for their parents to finish, Marisa and Ashton took Devan and Drina down to the store. Both teens earned their gold sales badges, and the shop reached level 9.

Drina obligingly rolled up business related wants, as Fortune teens tend to do, while Devan got back into platinum with a conversation about grilled cheese before going home.

“Hi, Devan! I got an A plus!”

Cyan brought Lyosha Parker home from school and spent the afternoon making friends with him.

Once the kids all had their mandatory skill points for the day, they got to hang out and do whatever they wanted. This turned out to be catch on the lawn.

(That’s Annika Richter’s new house in the background, by the way.)

Ashton helped Cyan with her homework, sad that his kids were all growing up so much and soon wouldn’t need anything from him.

One last dinner of delicious cheesy grilled cheesiness to end the season.

That’s it for the Bendetts! Next is another family with too many kids, the Gavigans.

And we’re back to moderate skilling. It’s Saturday, which means the kids each have to earn 2 skill points toward scholarships before they can have any fun.

Skilling’s especially important in this family because they don’t have any money. Nothing at all in the college funds yet.

Last season, Ashton completed his LTW to be a Celebrity Chef. His new LTW is to see 3 kids graduate from college, which will happen eventually. But in order for those kids to pay for college, he needs to work more than 3 days per week. So he quit his Celebrity Chef job and took a position in Law Enforcement instead.

The carpool arrived in an hour or so.

That’s Phil back there, the Bendetts’ poor ignored dog.

“First to get my skill points for the day! Wheeeeeee!”

Lunch time!

Both Ashton and Marisa have secondary aspirations of grilled cheese, so I’m pretty sure the kids have never eaten anything else.

Drina invited her cousin Greta over to play.

(They have a very small pool in the backyard of their lovely Maxis house, if you’re wondering why kids are in swimsuits.)

Time for babies!

Right in the living room in front of the kids.

And this is where I discovered that Friendly Hug After Work even queuestomps over Watch Birth. I mean, really, it’s nice that Kat wants to hug her dad, but now he doesn’t get to see his kids born.

Marisa gave birth to a baby boy named Geoffrey. I was really wondering when they were going to get around to having a black haired baby – not that I don’t love the recessive genes, but their kids should have a 50% chance of having black hair.

“Oh, the screaming? That was just my mom having a baby.”

Marisa then gave birth to a baby girl, another redhead, named Tayla.

Geoffrey was excited to get a new family member.

“Yeah, my mom just had another baby…Go? Why would I need to go? No, we can keep talking, it’s cool. It’s just a normal baby, not an alien or anything.”

Since they’re out of bedrooms upstairs, the Bendetts’ massive family room became a nursery.

Off to the toy store that doesn’t make any money. They earned about $1,000 and got the store up to level 7.

I meant to get them back later in the season, but this ended up being the only business session. What can I say? They were busy, as you’ll see.

Back home, while changing Geoffrey’s diaper, Ashton thought that he’d really like to have 10 kids. Yeah, 10 seemed like a good number.

Marisa needed to skill for work, but Ashton didn’t mind taking care of diapering and bottles at all.

At nearly midnight, Ashton finally sat down to pay the $6000 in taxes the family owed. They just barely had enough after Ashton’s pay, the money from the store, and $500 Devan had made from the telescope.

Random cute sleeping kids shot.

“I wish we had an alien in our family.”

Marisa just shook her head at Drina. They didn’t need any more babies, alien or human.

Ashton, on the other hand, was rather intrigued by the idea.

The Cooke-Pavlovs came over for family Sunday, all except Kylie.

Devan had a great time playing Marco Polo with Jake.

Marisa spent most of the day working on skills for work.

“Better keep an eye on your mom. Sometimes parents keep having babies even after you think they’re done.”

Birthday time!

Marisa was at work and missed it.

Geoffrey’s a cutie, although he still has the Face One nose.

Hooray, someone finally got Marisa’s nose! Fortunately Tayla’s a girl, because I’ve heard it’s hideous on boys.

Marisa got home late, after all the festivities. Unfortunately she didn’t get a promotion, but she does make over $2000 per shift, so there’s that. But now she has 3 days off.

Baby #6 will arrive while #4 and #5 are still toddlers.

Toddler skilling montage! (And makeovers)

Drina and Kat spent a little time getting to know their younger siblings before school on Monday.

Phil has discovered something amazing! When he’s stinky, he just goes and plays with the Water Wiggler, and it gets his hygiene bar up! It’s an auto dog washer!

I anticipate a run on the toy store by future households.

Marisa has some trouble with pregnancy – her hunger bar drops like crazy. She eats about six grilled cheese sandwiches a day. Fortunately she was able to get the twins to nap for most of the day so she could eat.

Ashton got home early with a chance card promotion and Colin Cooke. He went immediately back to work – they needed the money.

Colin cooked a fancy dinner. Butler training in action.

Another promotion and Nadezda.

Ashton got home just in time for a birthday!

snapshot_bc7b7921_5e9a5705Devan became a Romance/Grilled Cheese sim with a LTW to top the Slacker career.

He’s stuck in those clothes, either until someone gets a silver sewing badge or until the family’s got college funds sorted out for all the kids.

The adults went off to skill or care for toddlers while the kids socialized.

“I walk?”

“Yes, big boy, you can walk.”

Phil found someone who will let him lick her.

Their fireplace is really pretty, and it is winter. I should have them light fires more often.

Ashton needed a body point for work, and finally found a few hours to skill. Sadly, he didn’t manage to get his skill point.

“You are so super hot. Like, super hot.”

I think Devan’s going to need to work on the pick up lines if he wants the girls to swoon over him. Also, he needs to meet some girls. The only teenage girls he knows are his cousins.

The girls left their homework until the last minute, and Ashton had to go to work, so Devan had to help out.

The kids went to school, the toddlers went down for their naps, and Marisa chowed her way through a stack of grilled sandwiches.

Marisa is a great mom, despite being a Fortune sim who’s a little disappointed that having 5 kids with another on the way means it’s really hard to get rich.

After school, Devan invited his cousin Jake over to make friends with him.

I think he’s a closet Popularity sim. He seems to have an awful lot of wants to make friends with people, even relatives that can’t possibly be romantic interests.

The girls came home with A pluses, along with Rufina Thayer and Artur Pederson.

An epic snowball fight ensued.

“Dad, I really want to Max a Skill. Do you think I can do it?”

“Of course you can do it, Drina. My brother and sister both maxed all their skills before they were adults.”

“I can’t believe I got roped into doing this…but you are pretty cute.”

Woot! Awesome gift, Jake!

Devan’s college fund definitely needs the money. So far, the Bendetts have only managed $3000 for each of the older 3 kids. With the $6500 from the hot tub and his $500 in telescope money, Devan now has his $10,000!

(Yes, that means that his parents will probably contribute more to his younger siblings than they will to him. Being the oldest sucks sometimes.)

It was early Wednesday morning, and everyone else was asleep when Marisa went into labor.

She was relieved when she gave birth to only one baby, a little girl named Cyan.

Ashton woke up and was thrilled to meet his new daughter. He was also excited to finish up Geoffrey’s toddler skilling by teaching him a nursery rhyme.

“Humph. Another baby,” Kat thought as the kids headed to school.

Devan brought Mireia Picaso home from school and immediately did this. Devan, if you want to impress the ladies, that’s probably not the best way to start.

Marisa still hasn’t gotten around to sewing, but she did max her creativity.

Reno Day time! This is a Maxis house, so the layout definitely needs some work. The original upstairs here has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the bedrooms are very awkward in shape. Those diagonal walls may look nice, but there’s a lot of wasted space.

Post Reno – 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, including a large master bedroom taking advantage of space under the roof plus a couple of dormers. The common area is also a little bigger. The reno cost about $8k, and I had to sell one of Marisa’s expensive paintings to manage it, but I think it’s worth it.

Devan gets his own room, the blue room in the upper left corner. Kat and Drina will continue to share, but they get the second master bedroom with its own bathroom (although neither of the master baths have plumbing yet). Once the younger set of twins grow up, Geoffrey will get the green room. Tayla will get the room with the rug to herself for a few days, until Cyan grows up.

And it’s already birthday time! Just the immediate family was there for this one.

Both cuties, both stuck in their random clothes. They’re very lucky neither of them grew up in a dragon costume.

Tayla had a bit of a lazy eye, so she had to get glasses. Also, she strikes me as the type to have flaming orange hair.

“My block tower is better than yours.”

“Yours is stupid. I haven’t even started mine yet.”

Devan spent the evening having an outing with his cousin Eva, who he also wanted to be friends with.

Devan’s college fund is getting quite healthy.

I’m not quite sure why Marisa and Ashton’s dormer room counted as “outside”, but I’m hoping a ceiling will fix the problem. Guess I’ll have to wait until next season to find out.

That’s it for the Bendetts! Next up is another Uni chapter.

Family: Bendett

Business: Tots Best Toys, Rank 7

It’s time for the Bendett family!

Left to right: Marisa holding Drina, Devan, Ashton holding Kat. And that’s their new dog Phil in the background.

The Bendetts were also in a starter home through last season, but have moved out into a much larger house. It’s actually a house from the bin – not sure how I like it so far.

The house was minimally furnished, but the Bendetts brought most of their stuff with them from the old house and were able to get the place furnished pretty nicely.

Devan and Phil seem to get along well.

After buying and furnishing the house, Ashton and Marisa didn’t have enough to pay their taxes, so they headed off to their toy store. For some reason, they have a lot of trouble leveling this place – it was level 5 when they started, and in 24 hours they got it up to level 6 and made about $4,000.

Back home, Ashton worked on restocking Marisa’s inventory with homemade toys.

Marisa headed off to work in her LTW career of Dance in the afternoon.

Despite wearing his work uniform, Ashton had the day off, and spent it with the little ones.

Devan is the exact same age as his cousin Eric, and at 6 pm, it was time for his birthday!

Marisa had to miss it due to work, but Ashton and Phil were in attendance.

What a cutie.

Since Marisa’s working on sewing, I’m going to be mean and leave him in those clothes until she gets her silver badge. Fortunately, the soccer uniform’s not too terrible.

Marisa got home with a promotion and a nice bonus. They’re going to need every penny to establish college funds for 3 kids. (Or more. Their randomly selected number of kids was 3, but Ashton’s a family sim, so they’re not on birth control and will probably have more.)

Ashton’s OTH is Science, but he’s never done any stargazing! This must be remedied immediately.

Marisa had a bunch of skill points to get for her next promotion. She had two days off coming up, but that was no reason not to get right to it.

After skilling and hobbying, it was time for diapering and feeding before bed. Ah, the joys of twins.

“Someday I’m gonna be a ballerina just like Mommy!”

Real life dog owners, how often do you bathe your dogs? I have cats, so they’re self-cleaning, but I grew up with dogs. I’m pretty sure they didn’t need a bath every other day.

Devan went off to school (public school, as they have no extra money), and Ashton and Marisa did the diaper dance.

Then Marisa worked on those skills.

Ashton finished making toys to stock Marisa’s inventory just in time to head off to work.

Devan brought home everyone’s favorite school bus friend, Isaiah Gavigan.

Another sports nut. *le sigh*

Ashton got home from work just in time to help Devan with his homework.

Aw, Phil’s brother Clover came by to play.

Birthday time!

Behold the power of the Face One nose, and fear. (At least it’s a cute nose, right? Given that all three kids have it.)

Kat got braids to match her sister, and then it was time for Smart Milk and bed.

Early in the morning, Phil wondered what all that noise was. Was he supposed to do something about it?

With two to teach skills to, toddler training began promptly.

“Boy, I’m glad I’m too young to help out with the toddler skilling. I get to get out of here and go to school, hooray!”

Finally the girls went down for their naps, and the grownups were able to engage in snuggle time.

Afterward, Marisa was so hungry that she ate two grilled cheese sandwiches.

Ashton, sadly, had to go to work.

Phil dug the side yard full of holes before Marisa discovered him.

Block table time!

Poor Phil, just waiting for someone to fill his bowl.

“Somebody’ll come soon. Real soon. Any second now. Real soon.”

“I had about six grilled cheese sandwiches yesterday, and every one of them was awesome.”

“Here comes the tickle monster!”

“Say ‘Daddy’, Drina.”

“Another baby? After unprotected woohoo? Shocking!”

The carpool came for Ashton, but he skipped it while Marisa walked to work. Stupid maternity leave.

“Hi, Dad! Hi townie guy! I got an A+!”

“That’s great, Devan!”

“Do I know you, kid?”

Marisa got a promotion! Look how thrilled she is.

Marisa went off to skill, while the rest of the family worked on nursery rhymes. Yes, Devan got pulled into the toddler skilling after all.

Devan likes to jump rope first thing every morning. Usually in his parents’ room, because there’s plenty of space in there.

Ashton unfortunately tossed Drina a little too high.

“Honey, I’m really craving some grilled cheese sandwiches. Could you make me a nice big platter of them?”

“Of course, honey! Your wish is my command.”

“Oh, this is so yummy. Thank you, Ashton.”

“The grilled cheese worked!”

Devan brought Nikifor Pavlov home from school, but had to take a moment to greet Phil before playing with his new friend.

Kat got overtired and got into that cycle where Ashton couldn’t pick her up to put her to bed because she was passing out or freaking out about being tired.

In related news, I’ve decided that all multiples must have toddler blankets from now on.

After Kat finally got her nap, it was birthday time!

Ignore the stinky dog. It’s been a whole day since he had a bath.

(I have no idea why Anthony is there.)

Marisa hasn’t touched the sewing machine all season, so they’re all stuck in the clothes they grew up in.

Drina got a new hairstyle, while Kat kept her braids.

Marisa got a promotion! Unfortunately, she’ll have to stay super pregnant for a while, because that’s it for the Bendetts.

Next to last household of the rotation!

 Marisa and Ashton.

I don’t know what Ashton’s mad about.

Like Ashton’s brother Davis, they live in a little starter house, although it’s more nicely furnished than some thanks to Marisa being an avid shopper prior to moving in.

Also like Davis, they’re planning to move out at the end of the season, but not so they can have parties. Ashton wants bedrooms for a bunch of kids, while Marisa wants room for lots of statues, paintings, and living chairs.

Home from work, both with promotions!

Ashton and Marisa are both in their LTW careers – Culinary for Ashton, Dance for Marisa.

Marisa headed right back to work. Ashton could have gone back, but he needed two cooking points for his next promotion, so he hit the candy machine instead.

Another promotion! Marisa tried to overstuff the fridge with the groceries in her inventory whenever she came home.

Unfortunately, Ashton just missed the end of his work shift.

Late that night, the labor pains woke Marisa from a sound sleep.

She soon gave birth to a baby boy, named Devan!

“Yeah! Go Marisa! That’s my baby boy!”

As per the neighborhood routine, the new parents headed off to open their business, Tots Best Toys. The shop hadn’t been very popular with the customers last rotation, but they did better this time, getting the shop up to Rank 5.

“Who’s Daddy’s little nooboo?”

Sunday morning, Ashton stayed home with Devan while Marisa went to work.

Davis and Sandy came over for family Sunday.

Ashton had a nice outing with his sister-in-law.

He had to go to work in the afternoon, but fortunately Davis was willing to watch the baby.

Marisa got home a couple of hours later, and spent the time until Ashton got home getting to know her brother-in-law.

Ashton got home with a promotion to Celebrity Chef, achieving his LTW!

Time to get to work on his portrait!

Marisa spent the night working on her Charisma skill. They’re one of the few households without an Execuputter, it seems.

Portraits done! Marisa’s is weird, though, so I think I’m going to have to have them redo that one.

Marisa was finishing up a date and missed her carpool, so she had to walk to work. She’s clearly unhappy about it.

This was the second time this rotation that their trashcan was knocked over, both times by AL townies. Fortunately, they cleaned it up quickly and didn’t get roaches.

Another promotion for Marisa.

They grow up so fast. It seems like he was only born yesterday.

Little Devan grew up super cute.

For his birthday, Devan got a whole pile of home crafted toys.

And the beginnings of a little brother or sister.

After a nap, Devan got a new outfit and learned how to walk.

“My brick!”

All right, enough toddler spam.

Marisa needed something to do when she wasn’t skilling for work. She had a bronze sewing badge and a high interest in fashion, so she got herself a sewing machine.

After Marisa headed to work, Ashton put Devan down for a nap, then indulged in a nice soak.

Marisa came home early with a chance card promotion and a friend!

Ashton had been planning to take a vacation day, but since Marisa was home early, he decided he might as well head off to work.

Devan’s first word was “highchair”. Marisa thought that was a bit odd, since they didn’t own a highchair, but she was proud that her son was starting to talk.

Ashton got home and was shocked at the state of the foliage. Even though it was late, he whipped out the shears immediately.

“We’re going to make sure you’re a clean boy, aren’t we?”

Marisa autonomously gave Devan a bath. I was impressed.

“It’s my 3rd trimester already!”

Ashton taught Devan his nursery rhyme, making him a very well educated toddler.

Marisa’s amazingly flexible for someone who’s 8 months pregnant.

Ashton spent the last night of the rotation making toys – he had earned his gold badge, and planned to begin selling water wigglers at the store. Marisa painted away the last of her pregnancy.

She lay down for a few hours, but the contractions woke her up.

Marisa gave birth to a baby girl, named Drina.

She was followed by her twin sister, Kat.

The birth of another set of twins marks the end of the season for this household! They’ll be moving to a bigger house next time.

This is it! The last rotation of Spring 3 – Ashton Cooke!

Ashton, the youngest of the Cooke triplets, is a Family/Grilled Cheese sim who wants to be a Celebrity Chef.

Another move out, another starter house. The bedrooms are big, but the main room’s kind of small.

There weren’t any Culinary jobs available, so Ashton headed off to his interim job in Science.

The welcome wagon came by while he was gone. Bolts stood around heartfarting Sandy for about 3 hours.

Davis returned home late, with a promotion.

He really wanted to invite a specific person over, but she wasn’t home.

So he had a solitary evening of toymaking and grilled cheese eating.

It didn’t take Ashton long to decide that he didn’t like living alone.

Ashton came home the next day with a promotion.

He was finally able to get hold of Marisa and invite her over. He was very happy to see her.

(I was really hoping Ashton would have good boltage with Marisa, after what happened in the hot tub at Nadezda’s dance studio. Ashton’s the one who grew Brittany up, which usually means I get them together, but Brittany’s the only nonmarried sim Stepan’s come across so far that he has 2 bolts with. Ashton now has only 1 bolt with Brittany – it seems to go back and forth – but a solid 2 bolts with Marisa. Hooray!)

Ashton and Marisa had a great date.

Then Ashton said goodbye. He wanted to ask Marisa to move in, but he couldn’t quite get up the nerve – he was afraid she would say no.

Ashton had some studying to do for work.

He decided to break up the monotony by inviting Makari over for an outing.

More toymaking.

As soon as it was light out, Ashton called up Marisa again.

They both had the same thing on their minds, so they headed for the couch.

“Marisa, would you be interested in moving in with me?”

“Oh, Ashton! I’d love to!”

Ashton had to head off to work, leaving Marisa alone in her new home.

Marisa worked in the medical field, but there were no medical jobs in Willow Valley, so she headed to the computer to find a new one. Her dream career wasn’t available, so she took a job in Athletic as a stopgap.

Makeover time! She can keep the dress.

Marisa Bendett is a Fortune sim and rolled the secondary of Grilled Cheese, just like Ashton. Her LTW is to top the Dance career, which is great because there just happens to be one spot open.

The fridge was full of leftover grilled cheese. Marisa thought this was going to work out quite well.

As soon as Ashton returned home from work, he and Marisa headed out to their newly purchased business.

Tots Best Toys sold toys and playground equipment of all kinds.

It’s the 15th player owned business! That opens up another Business District, increasing the SM to 20 and the population to 1100! Positions in medicine and journalism are now open, and politics is unlocked.

A quick date before opening up the store was quite productive.

Ashton made toys, while Marisa handled running the business. For some reason, the place wasn’t very popular with customers – after 24 hours, it was still only level 1.

Still, they ended the evening on a high note.

They headed home for a private wedding ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Bendett

They then moved to the couch to celebrate their wedding.

They headed to bed for their wedding night, where Marisa dreamed about…Ethan Barrett? Um, ok, then.

Over a grilled cheese breakfast, Marisa thought about how nice woohoo was. Ashton was a family sim and wanted a few kids, and she was ok with that – especially since it would take woohoo to get them.

After breakfast, Marisa searched the job listings. There was no position in Dance, but she did hurry to let Ashton know that a Culinary position was open.

The grilled cheese didn’t go down too well.

Ashton headed to work, and returned an hour or so later with a chance card promotion.

What better way to spend a suddenly free afternoon, than by painting a picture of the best food ever?

Also, Ashton maxed his arts & crafts enthusiasm.

“Honey, we’re having a baby.”

“That’s amazing.”

“A cozy home with the woman I love, my dream job, and a baby on the way. Life is awesome.”

Shortly after Ashton left, Marisa headed off to work herself.

They returned home with double promotions.

Marisa headed off for a nap, but was woken by Pop #2.

“Honey! I found a job in Dance!” Marisa called excitedly.

“That’s awesome, sweetie!” Ashton shouted back, before stuffing a handful of chocolate in his mouth.

And…Spring 3 is finished! It’s been a long haul, but all households are now ready for summer aside from a little bookkeeping.
