Left to right: Jake, Denise, Sofiya, Kylie, Eva

I installed some new stuff packs, so everyone was awake at 3 am when I loaded the house. The kids were sent out to play basketball at about 4 am.

(Yes, I finally got Family Fun Stuff so that my kids, too, can grow up in dinosaur costumes.)

Denise did some yoga and hummed, “Omm” really loud so she didn’t have to hear her moms being all kissy face.

Despite the kissy face, Kylie and Sofiya really loved their kids. They were fun to hang out with. Kylie was glad, though, that they were past the baby and toddler stages.

Off to school! The season started on a Tuesday (seems to be a trend lately), so the kids will have 4 days of school. The Cooke-Pavlov kids are in private school, of course.

Sofiya had had leftover salmon for breakfast, but it had apparently been in the fridge too long.

Kylie was the only one home during the day. After paying the taxes, she did some financial consulting. Even though they’ve got more than $60k in the bank, she wanted to earn some more.

Denise invited Malvina over after school, because they have 3 bolts! I hardly ever get 3 bolt couples in my game unless they’ve got the Romance sim perk.

The kids were exhausted after school and needed naps. That’s what happens when you get up at 4 am, kids.

Well, hate and love are two sides of the same coin.

After Malvina left, Denise snuck out with Sharlene.

“Kylie, oh my boolprop. I think the aliens got me pregnant.”

I guess Sofiya is a “get right back on the horse” kind of woman.

Denise snuck back in as quietly as she could. Mom was at the easel, and she didn’t see Mama anywhere. She snuck off to bed, hoping they would think she’d been there all night.

Jake! I told you to take a shower!

Jake is rather excessively playful. His fun is always low. He actually slides down the banisters, although I haven’t been able to catch it fast enough to take a picture.

“Omelettes for breakfast, Sofiya? Yep, you’re definitely pregnant.”

“What do you mean, Mama’s having a baby? I don’t want another bratty little brother or sister! Where’s it going to sleep?”

“Well, we thought you could share with Eva…”

Denise’s room is the old nursery, so that’s probably the main reason she’s so upset.

“I am not sharing with Eva. No way. I’d rather sleep on the couch.”

“Well, we could fix up the basement for you…”

“The basement? Yeah, okay, I guess that would work. As long as it’s all mine.”

“And when the baby’s born, we’ll have everyone over for chili!”

Sofiya’s the worst Romance sim ever. She’s only ever kissed one sim, she’s got a Family LTW, and she rolled up the want to Have a Baby as soon as she got pregnant.

She and Kylie do Woohoo an awful lot, though.

“Do you still love me even though I’m having an alien baby?”

“Of course I do! Heck, I’m just glad it’s an alien and not a result of you cheating on me.”

“I love you so much. Let’s make out while the kids are at school!”

“For four hours?”

“Sure, why not?”

After Denise got home, she and her moms headed out to Paws, the family pet store. It’s level 9, and I’m hoping to get it to level 10 this season. Denise did manage to earn her silver cashier badge, but they were still about 12 stars from level 10 when they headed home.

Denise brought her cousin Nastasia home on the bus, and they spent the afternoon commiserating about stupid moms deciding to have more kids when they already had plenty.

Once the kids got home, Denise took Jake out to teach him to shoot hoops. “It’s really important to be good at sports, Jake. It makes high school a lot easier. I may be a Knowledge sim, but I’m not a geek, and you shouldn’t be either.”

“And Artur says he’s going to be a wizard when he grows up!”

“Eva, sims can’t be wizards.”

“But Artur says his dad and two of his sisters are.”

“It’s true. Uncle Makari is a wizard. Thanks for letting me stay for dinner, you guys.”

Denise may not be a geek, but she sure spends a lot of time studying.

No dance spheres wanted here, thanks. Sofiya will have to avoid them from now on. *sells*

Why would pregnant sims need outerwear? I mean, according to the game, pregnant sims have no reason to leave the house, right?

Eva and Jake both brought home homework, and both left it until morning. Eva rolled the want to do hers, but Jake did not. He had to do it anyway.

Kylie had another day off, and Sofiya took her maternity leave day so they could spend the day hanging loose and making out.

Of course, they had to take a break so Kylie could clean the tub before the maid got to it.

Jake felt like he was playing basketball in a wasteland, but he definitely needed the fun boost.

Denise cooked dinner for everyone autonomously! Just mac & cheese since she doesn’t have many cooking points.

That night it was birthday time.

Having a late baby is more common than not in Willow Valley, but the Cooke-Pavlovs will be the first to have their late baby after all their other kids are teenagers.

Jake became a Family/Fortune sim with a LTW to top the Culinary career. Thank you, Jake, for not giving me an annoying Family want.

Eva became a Romance/Fortune sim with a LTW of 20 woohoos. I guess her cousin Akilina can mentor her, as they have the same LTW.

The fridge was almost empty, so Eva hit the grocery store first before heading out to buy new clothes – mostly for her, although she figured she’d pick up something for her dippy brother while she was out.

Jake’s still a nerd, but he’s a cute nerd.

Eva was kind of a weird looking kid, but I guess she was just an ugly duckling, because now she’s gorgeous. She even makes The Mouth look good.

And as a reminder, Denise is quite a looker herself.

Kylie and Sofiya make good kids.

I broke the Reno Day rule to put some carpet down in the basement, which was previously unfinished with a grass floor. Come Reno Day, Denise can have a proper bedroom down here, and maybe even her own bathroom.

Kylie and Sofiya always manage to get up at the same time. They go to bed at different times, and I let them sleep until their bars are full, and then they get up within a few minutes of each other.

“How would you like to use your last wish?”

“Can you make my mom’s alien baby go away?”

“Of course not. I’m really not an open wish genie, you know; you have to pick from the pie menu.”

“Oh. Well, I guess I’ll take money, then.”

Just as Denise got her wish, Sofiya went into labor.

Sofiya gave birth to a baby boy, named Felix.

“Wow, he’s not an alien…Kylie, he has your eyes!”

Everyone was very excited at the news.

The next day was another Friday snow day. Sofiya decided to take a vacation day as originally planned, while Kylie headed in to work for the first time all season.

Eva got a cell phone and made good use of it. Denise was excited about having extra time to study.

Irina came over to hang out, and brought Malvina.

Sofiya headed to the store with Jake and Eva, so that they could work on some badge earning.

After about 8 hours, Venyamin gave us the last star to make the pet store Level 10. Hooray!

Lucky Sofiya got home right when Felix needed his diaper changed. Joy.

Eva and Jake both had low aspirations when they got home, so they got crystal ball dates.

Denise, of course, is quite happy with her book.

Family Sim Jake gets himself a sweet first kiss, while Romance Sim Eva obviously has other things on her mind.

Kylie got a promotion, came in and worked on her charisma a bit, and then headed back to work.

Chain promotions aren’t so much fun when there’s a family having fun at home.

1 down, 19 to go. Not bad for a girl who’s been a teen for less than 24 hours.

I have to say, I really hadn’t anticipated Malvina and Denise getting together, but they’re cute together. They both seem to have a bit of a thing for purple.

Kylie brought Lyov home from work! No promotion, though.

She was thrilled to hear that Paws had made it to level 10, and celebrated by buying another business.

The Cooke-Pavlovs are doing moderate skilling, too, but if they’re up all night after going on outings, they might as well make use of the time.

Of course, studying is Denise’s preferred activity, anyway.

It’s now officially Day 5, so time to fix up the basement. Denise has her own space down there now, and there’s a common space for storage or whatever.

As soon as it was light out, Kylie took Jake and Eva down to the new store.

The store is called Fortunate Living, and sells living chairs for Fortune sims. Because why would anyone else ever want a living chair?

So I didn’t take any pictures of them actually working at the business, but they did, and Eva and Jake now both have silver badges in sales and cashiering. The store got up to level 3.

“Maybe we should sell jewelry.”

“Uh, Jake, it’s a furniture store.”

Denise invited Derek over to make friends with him. She was careful to keep things platonic, even though she has more bolts with Derek than Jake does.

“Bye, kids, I’m going to work.”

The kids avoided looking at Kylie, not wanting to see the dress their mother was wearing.

After her outing with Derek, Denise spent the day hard at work on her last skill scholarship.

Derek can’t decide which Cooke-Pavlov he likes more.

Sofiya had the day off, which meant she got diaper duty.

Poor Saveliy. He just came over to visit his cousins and got a water balloon in the face from the paperboy.

Sofiya meant to just call and chat with Julien, but accidentally invited the family over instead. Madelina and Colin hung out on the sidewalk being lovey-dovey.

That night it was birthday time for Felix! Kylie had to work, but little Felix had plenty of people there to watch anyway.

He is, of course, a cutie.

I vaguely remembered some romantic happenings between Sharlene and Saveliy at the Carr’s big party, so I snuck a look in their relationship panels. 3 bolts!

Sofiya got Felix his smart milk and got him started on his skills.

Jake and Derek are still getting along well.

In case anyone’s wondering, these two only have one bolt, so it’ll just be a teen romance. I’ve been trying the last few households to make sure most of my teens have a romantic interest, especially Family and Romance sims since they’re so hard to keep happy otherwise.  It’s really hard for gay sims like Jake, since the options are limited.

Eva maxed her Logic while playing chess with her grandfather, who told her how proud he was of all his grandchildren (13 and counting).

Kylie’s a Space Pirate! Hooray!

However, the Adventure hours aren’t any good for her, either. Besides, her new LTW is to be a Celebrity Chef just like her daddy. So Kylie moved on to the Culinary career.

And that’s it for the Cooke-Pavlovs! Next we have the Pavlov/Parker household.

Family: Cooke-Pavlov

Paws, level 10

Fortunate Living, level 3

General fund contribution: $17,900 (taxes $13,400, school fees $4500)

Playable sims: 95 (+1 for Felix, and I added two new CAS sims that you’ll meet later)

Sim multiplier: 44 (+1 as Fortunate Living is the 35th community lot)

Population: 4180

It’s time for the household with the biggest extended family in town, the Cooke-Pavlov family!

Left to right: Denise, Sofiya with Eva, Kylie with Jake

As always, we start with taxes. The family easily afforded their taxes of $14,700 and their levy of $29,300.

“Gotta have clean teeth for school, for when I scowl at the other kids!”

Denise is a little meanie, just like Kylie.

“Ugh, so smelly!”

Fortunately, the twins don’t care. They have their bunny heads.

At 8 am, Kylie arrived home with a promotion to Criminal Mastermind!

Besides achieving her LTW, she’s also unlocked new positions in Criminal, Law Enforcement, Journalism, and Intelligence.

“Yay, Mommy, I’m so glad you’re home!”

“Me too, Denise. But the bus is waiting.”

“You really need a doghouse, Dad.”

“But the dog sleeps in Sharlene’s room!”

“Wouldn’t you rather the dog slept outside?”

“Well, I suppose it would be good to have the option…”

Kylie and Sofiya got Paws up to level 8.

Kylie was planning to take a vacation day that evening, so she spent the day catching up with friends.

Sofiya also took a vacation day, because she needs to use them up so she can get a new job. Somehow they got a little behind on the toddler training.

“Say ‘Momma’, Eva.”

Kylie had a want to make friends with the new chick in town, so she invited her over.

“The twins are sleeping, and we’ve got an hour before Denise gets home.”

“Mommy? Momma? I got an A plus…where is everybody?”

“Well, I guess I’ll just work on my homework, then…”

Last minute toddler training!

They finished in time for birthdays! Hooray, no more toddlers!

Eva’s up first, and is apparently shockingly cute.

Jake is adorable.

“Yeah, I get to go to school tomorrow!”

All the kids look different from each other. I love it.

Time for a bit of redecorating. Since Denise is the oldest, she claimed the former nursery, as it’s the biggest bedroom. Eva got Denise’s old room, while Jake got the green bedroom.

Jake looked so adorably nerdy in the outfit he grew up in that I got him some nerd glasses to match.

I like Eva’s shirt. She got some new pants and some pigtails to go with it.

The tree outside caught fire right before the rain stopped. I hate it when that happens.

“Help! Our tree’s on fire! I’m afraid it might burn me up!”

Fortunately, the fire department arrived within a nanosecond of Denise placing the call, as usual.

Unfortunately, the darn fire doesn’t count.

Once upon a time (when she was a child), Sofiya had max enthusiasm in her OTH of Science. I think it’s time to get back to that.

You know, Jessica, you’d think it’d be professional courtesy not to rob your boss’s house.

“I got intelligence that the Llama Queen is here!”

“Oh, the burglar alarm’s going off. Let’s just go downstairs and see what’s up.”

Denise: “Boo!”

Sofiya: “Ohmigosh!”

Kylie: “Ah, it’s just as I planned.”

Meanwhile, the twins were in Denise’s room, showing off somersaults. Ok, then.

“Finally, I’ve caught the Llama Queen. You’re going away for a long time, Llama Queen.”

“But I’m not…”

“Save it for the judge.”

Even though her plan had worked perfectly, and the family even got a $500 award for helping to catch the fake Llama Queen, Kylie was still depressed about the burglary.

A big sack of money did help her feel better, though.

Later in the morning, as Jake got out his jump rope for a little fun before school, Kylie donated half the genie money, $22,000, to the town fund. (They still have a wish left, but I’m going to hold onto it for a little while.)

The kids headed off to school while Sofiya let family and friends know all about the burglary.

Then it was time for Sofiya to head to work. She was a little worried leaving Kylie alone, since clearly her wife had enemies in the criminal underground.

Kylie had the house to herself for the day. After a nap, she spent some time shooting hoops.

Then Davis came and stole the newspaper while Kylie was reading it. Jerk.

“So, I heard the burglars got you, too. Darn burglars.”

“Yeah, it stinks. Can you watch the kids for a couple of hours? Sofiya will be home at six.”

Kylie spun into her cat suit and headed out, while Jake made friends with his cousin Adam.

“I like playing chess, Grandpa. Do you like playing chess?”

“It’s all right. I like playing guitar better.”

While her siblings were outside, Eva enjoyed solitude at the block table.

Sofiya got home and helped Jake out with his homework.

“And then the wind got the umbrella, and it flew away upside down!”

“Ooh, I’m so glad you’re home.”

“I hate these crazy hours. The kids are in bed?”

After Sofiya went to bed, Kylie headed for the computer. The Criminal Mastermind career did not have good hours for a mom with school age kids, so she took a position in Adventure instead.

Of course, the fact that I wanted a Jumbok might have had something to do with it.

All the kids got up promptly at 6 and made their beds, and never mind that it was Saturday. Bunch of little neatniks.

Jake and Denise started out the day on the activity table.

Sofiya got stuck with homework duty again, because Kylie had to leave for work right after admiring her portrait.

My sim kids never get to let their homework wait until Sunday night – the only reason Eva even got to wait until Saturday morning was because Sofiya only had time to teach one kid before bedtime.

Kylie rather liked her new work outfit, and she was pretty sure her wife would appreciate it, too.

“Yay, magic jump rope!”

“So, Momma, when I’m big, can I wear makeup?”

“If you want to.”

Jake really loves showing off. Fortunately, his sisters seem pretty tolerant of it.

Naturally, Kylie got a promotion.

“Hey, another Romance sim! We have much to discuss.”

“Great! Any tips you might have on juggling multiple lovers would be greatly appreciated.”

“Well, actually…”

Off to the store! Despite the fact that they hadn’t been there in two days, their old lady restocker was too tired to come in, so they hired a new guy.

“I do appreciate the Best of the Best award, dude, but you don’t need to get all touchy feely.”

A romantic outing is always a great way to conclude a trip to the store.

Back home, Nadezda stopped by, and everyone spent a quiet evening doing whatever they wanted.

(The girls wanted to study – Eva’s learning Anger Management, and Denise is learning Physiology.)

The next day was family Sunday, and the witchy Pedersons came over.

Madelina’s brother James came over, too – you can see him in the back there. He was actually the first household I rolled for, but it seemed silly to have just one person come over for family Sunday.

Hey, look, matching snowsuits!

I think the game got mixed up on which two were supposed to be twins. Denise and Jake are inseparable, while Eva generally keeps to herself.

Kylie made a huge platter of pancakes, but there were none left for her by the time the kids descended on it.

“Mommy used to be in the mob and carry dangerous documents in her suitcase, but now she’s a pirate.”

“I’m a chef!”

*yawn* “Boring!”

“And I like math, and chess, and building at the block table!”

“Yeah, ok.” *coughNerd!*

“We have two dogs, but no fish.”

“My moms won’t let us get a pet. They say they deal with animals enough at the store.”

James got along quite well with the Pederson kids, despite him being Mr. Frowny Face here.

“Yeah, the kids are doing great in school. Denise is on the honor roll. The twins just finished kindergarten, but they’re doing fine.”

All too soon, it was 6 pm and time for everyone to go home – and time for cleanup.

“Hey, that planet’s really bright.”

“Aaaaaauuuuugh! That’s not a planet!”

As you can see, the kids were really concerned.

Eva’s talking to Artur, who called her pretty much the minute he got home.

Nobody waited up for Sofiya, not even her wife. Poor thing.

“Makari’s a liar. He said meeting aliens was awesome. That was horrible! I’m going to bed.”

Apparently the mob is pissed off at Kylie for leaving.

Fortunately Dorian showed up again, and successfully subdued another criminal.

Dorian was very thorough, and made sure the children were ok before heading back to the police station. He’s definitely my favorite NPC cop.

Poor Denise couldn’t stay asleep, she was so traumatized by the second burglary.

In fact, all the kids got up super early. Stupid burglary.

But hey, that was the 6th one! New Law Enforcement position, yay.

Off to school, still upset about the break-in.

“Maybe we should go on vacation, someplace sunny. Get out of here for a little while.”

“Yeah, we got robbed again, can you believe it? No, they didn’t take anything – the police got the guy.”

“Darn burglars. I need to take care of those mob guys, tell them what’s what. Just because I’m not a mastermind anymore doesn’t mean they can mess around with me.”

“I heard you got robbed again. Just wanted to make sure everything’s ok.”

“Oh, we’re fine. It’s just me here – everybody else is at work and school. You’re welcome to hang out if you want.”

Kylie got another promotion.

After school, Jake challenged his Uncle James to a game of chess, while Sofiya used a safer method to gain Science enthusiasm.

“You know Uncle James? He cooks – for his job! He doesn’t catch spies or go pirating or anything!”

At 6 o’clock, it was time for Denise’s birthday!

The jumpsuit returns!

Denise became a Knowledge/Romance sim with a LTW to top the Journalism career.

New clothes.

As is standard for new teenagers in Willow Valley, the family headed off to the store. Denise got her gold sales badge in only 8 hours, and they got the store up to level 9.

“Eventually we’re going to have to decide what to do with that last genie lamp wish.”

“Eh, we can worry about that next season.”

That’s it for the Cooke-Pavlovs! Next up we have the Pavlov/Parker family.

Family: Cooke-Pavlov

Business: Paws, level 9

Town fund contribution: $83,000 (Tax $14,700, levy $29,300, windfall $22,000, school fees $7,000)

Total town fund: $111,000

Playable sims: 79

Sim multiplier: 37

Population: 2923

It’s time for the Cooke-Pavlov family!

Sofiya, Kylie holding Denise

As you can see, another baby is on the way.

The season started with Saturday, and both Kylie and Sofiya were off work. Sofiya enjoyed a delicious omelet while Kylie caught up with friends.

The family has plenty of money, but Kylie wanted more, so she spent some time giving financial advice online.

I realized that Sofiya wasn’t friends with her brother Stepan! How awful! So he came over for an outing.

Agnes Picaso was walking by, and was invited in so Kylie could cheat her at chess.

“Is Sofiya getting the proper medical care during this pregnancy? We wouldn’t want her to have any problems.”

Denise got a new hairdo! I downloaded some new braided hairstyles.

For Reno day, I made the nursery a little bigger. I also bought them a new couch and coffee table.

Kylie got a soccer goal, to work on her Sports hobby. Man, that thing drains energy.

Stepan can always be counted on for the outing gifts.

Early in the morning, Sofiya and Kylie had a little fun on the couch.

As soon as it got light, it was time for Family Sunday! The Hamiltons were the lucky family.

(Kylie and Sofiya have a big selection to choose from, as their two families currently comprise 9 other households.)

The hot tub was immediately occupied.

“We’re expecting the new baby very soon,” Sofiya told her niece and nephews over a breakfast of omelettes.

Very soon indeed.

“A pregnant woman going into labor? We never could have expected this!”

Sofiya gave birth to a baby girl with blonde hair and brown eyes, named Eva.

Eva was quickly followed by her twin brother, Jake. Jake has black hair and green eyes.

Just for fun, I got a bear statue to put in the nursery.

I also put Sofiya on birth control. She has enough kids now to achieve her LTW (as long as there’s a uni available by then). It worked out quite well for them with 1 pregnancy each.

The babies were very popular.

Denise made some friends, too. I’m glad she met Pavel, as they’re about the same age.

Also, Pavel obviously still wants to go on vacation. Maybe I’ll send them to Three Lakes next season or something.

“Ha ha, Eva, you’re such a baby! You pooped your diaper! Ha ha!”

Silly sim. I guess it’s a slight improvement from lecturing the poor baby.

“All right, sis, it’s been a great visit, but the kids need to sleep.”

“I understand. Nice seeing you.”

“Hey, hot stuff, call me when we get home!”

Silly Marylena. Anyway, family Sunday had to end early, as all the tromping through the nursery was getting annoying.

Sofiya and Kylie then headed down to Paws, their pet store, where Sofiya made her first $100k.

The store got up to level 7, and got busy enough that Kylie had to hire someone to come in and restock.

Back home, Denise got a bath so she could be clean during her last day of toddlerhood.

Kylie headed off to work.

I wish the gardener came every 2 days. The flowers always look terrible by the time she shows up.

“You’ve got your grandpa Leo’s blond hair, don’t you little Eva?”

Sofiya also spent a little while painting while the kids were napping.

Kylie got home with a promotion!

“Hi, Mom. So glad you could come.”

“The kids will be so excited to have you at their birthday.”

Um, guys, this is a kids’ birthday party.

Denise is up first. All three grandparents are quite familiar with a line of birthday cakes.

Denise continues to be very cute.

“Yay babies!”

Come on, grandparents, muster up a little enthusiasm here.

Eva inherited The Mouth.

Jake looks like Kylie.

“I’m glad you could come to my birthday, Grandpa, but I’ve got to go to bed now.”

I put them in the little frog hats, because I’m a horrible person.

Denise decided that since she was the oldest, she ought to look more mature and wear her hair in a single braid. Also, she has a ladybug dress.

Shortly after, it was time for her first day of school.

“We should start getting ready for winter.”

“Right. We’ll need more toys, I think.”

Kylie had the day off, but needed to gain some mechanical skill points. Sofiya didn’t really want to go to work, so she took a vacation day to help the twins with their toddler skills.

All right. I relented on the frog hats.

Cute, but he definitely looks like he’s thinking about getting into trouble.

Makari stopped by for a visit. “So, Kylie, what are you studying?”

“Oh, Mechanical’s my favorite. After you max it, you should get a robot station.”

Denise brought her cousin Anya home from school!

“And when you’re in sixth grade, like me, you get to study geometry!”

“Oh, boy! Geometry!”

“Denise! No cheating!”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. That piece was definitely there before.”

“The syndicate has big plans. We’re expanding worldwide!”

“Kylie, hush. Makari’s listening, and he’s a GOOD warlock.”

Poor Kylie . Her nefarious criminal doings have to be hidden around about half of Sofiya’s family.

“Come to Momma, Jake. You can do it!”

Meanwhile, Kylie helped Denise out with her homework.

“Ok, I got it. Thanks, Mom!”

Sofiya was playing a friendly game of Red Hands with Makari when she burst into tears.

“Hey, what’s the matter, sis?”

“It’s just…it’s my portrait. I hate it so much.”

Well, you’re not repainting it, so live with it.

Late that night, Kylie maxed her mechanical skill! Hopefully that means a promotion to Criminal Mastermind the next time she goes to work. That’s good, because Aglaya and Nadezda need a nemesis.

The next morning, Denise made friends with her brother and sister at the block table.

“Wait, bus, wait!”

Denise stayed on the block table a little too long.

Oh boy, a genie lamp!

I decided to wait and let them make wishes next season, since today’s the last day of summer.

I got rid of the soccer goal because it was annoying, and got a basketball hoop instead.

Denise didn’t bring anyone home, but she did catch Chandler walking by and made friends with him.

The kids spent the evening playing blocks…

While the moms had some grown-up time in the hot tub.

“Bye, I’m off to work. Have fun watering the flowers.”

Kylie didn’t make it home by the time the season switched to fall, but she did get $55,000 on a chance card! They’re going to have some serious taxes next season.

Next up will likely be an update of my long forgotten Doom by the Numbers Apocalypse, so keep an eye out for that!

Household: Cooke-Pavlov

Business: Paws, level 7

Taxes: $9800 ($9300 in regular taxes, $500 in school fees, and the highest first time taxes ever!)

Uni fund: $386,700

Playable sims: 66

Sim multiplier: 21

Population: 1386

It’s time for the first new move out household of the season, the Cooke-Pavlov household!

 Left Sofiya, right Kylie

They moved into this lovely blue house. It’s the biggest starter home yet in the neighborhood, thanks to combining 2 move out funds.

I really like this house. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plenty of space. There’s even an unfinished basement.

Sofiya’s LTW is to send 3 kids to college (even though she’s a romance sim), so the house is designed to have enough room for 3 kids.

Kylie’s in the Business career, but her LTW is to be a Criminal Mastermind. So first thing she sat down to look for a job. Alas, no luck, so she headed off to work.

Right after Kylie left, her brother Davis came in to heartfart Sofiya. Funny, because they hate each other.

Still, Sofiya tried to make polite small talk over a lunch of chef salad. She had the day off, and almost wished she had work to go to.

Kylie came home from work with Meadow Pederson, who seems to come home from work with everyone. She got a promotion. It wasn’t such a big deal since Business wasn’t her dream career, but the money was nice.

Ignoring their house guests, Kylie and Sofiya headed off to break in their new bed.

There was no reason for this. They were just engaging in post-woohoo flirting when Davis came in and started slapping.

“Take THAT! And get out of my house!”

Kylie didn’t say anything. She knew her wife could handle herself.

Then it was time to have a nice relaxing evening.

“Oh! See, I told you I got pregnant at my birthday party last season!”

“Huh. Is it mine?”

“Silly Romance sim. Of course it’s yours.”

That’s when I realized that Sofiya needed 3 more friends for a promotion, so Kylie headed off to befriend Meadow.

Look who couldn’t stay away.

Meanwhile, Sofiya called her sister-in-law Noelle over to befriend her. One to go!

(My friend counts are usually quite sufficient with very little effort on my part, but it seems Sofiya and Kylie are friends mostly with their families. If relatives by marriage and each other’s relatives didn’t count, they probably wouldn’t have any friends at all.)

No surprise what Kylie made for breakfast.

“Sorry I started without you.”

“No worries. You’ve got to feed that baby, too.”

Love their complementary PJs!

After Kylie headed off to work, Sofiya called over her soon to be friend. Hooray for networking – he gave them a TV!

The Cooke-Pavlovs are the first to hire a gardener, because neither one of them is interested in watering all those flowers.

Sofiya didn’t go into work until later, so she headed to the couple’s newly purchased business, Paws.

As you might have guessed, Paws is a pet store. Now sims can buy pets without having to adopt strays, hooray!

(As I do with clothes, I’ll probably cheat and let sims buy pets off the computer rather than having them actually go to the store. I’m lazy like that.)

New businesses can usually be run by one sim, especially if that one sim is already permaplat with a gold sales badge and bronze cashier badge like Sofiya. She hung out for about 12 hours and got the place up to level 3.

Back home, Sofiya worked on her self portrait for a bit. I love how the eyes are the first to emerge.

Then off to work in a very Romance sim appropriate outfit.

Intelligence is actually a pretty awesome career for a female romance sim, as long as it’s the “seduce the enemy” type of espionage work.

Kylie got home in her pajamas less than an hour later, with another pointless promotion (except for the sweet ka-ching of cash, of course).

Fortunately, there was a Criminal position available when Kylie checked the computer. She snatched it up.

Since she didn’t go in until very late that night, she headed off to take a nap.

Sofiya got home early with a chance card promotion, and Bolts!

Just one more day!

“You know, you could take your maternity leave and stay home.”

“Nah, I’m finally in my dream career! Plus I’ve heard the Llama Queen likes women in pajamas.”

After Kylie left, Sofiya returned to her studying for work.

Kylie also came home with a chance card promotion, and had a quick dinner before heading to bed.

The next morning, Kylie called over Stepan and went on an outing, so Sofiya would have enough friends for her next promotion.

The ladies spent the morning painting.

I liked the sexy dress better.

After a shower, Kylie returned to the easel. The baby was due late in her work day, so she had to take the maternity leave.

“Augh! Why couldn’t Sofiya have gotten pregnant?”

It was over quickly, though; in just a few minutes, Kylie was holding baby Denise.

(The Cooke-Pavlovs will be alternating English and Russian names.)

A crib and changing table were purchased for the nursery.

(Yes, Denise is a girl. These go better with the decor.)

Sofiya came home with a promotion to the top of the Intelligence career! She’s also earned $50,000 already.

Sadly, topping Intelligence doesn’t unlock anything. Silly me, why didn’t I get her into a useful career? Ah, well. She makes almost $4000 per work day, so there’s that.

This is what they do when I leave them on free will.

Stepan dropped off a hot tub! Thanks, Stepan!

They have about $25k in the bank thanks to all the promotions, so I think I’ll let them keep it.

Back to the pet store, before somebody gets pregnant again. Kylie gained her gold badge, and they got the store up to level 4 and made more money.

Simultaneous swooning during the post-business date!

Kylie was really happy that Sofiya was home.

Oh dear. What could this mean?

Military uniform? Really? I think at level 10 I should be able to choose what she wears to work. I would definitely choose the sexy black dress.

Kylie decided to hire a nanny for a couple of hours so she could get to work on time.

Wow, she’s actually feeding the baby.

Leo cameo! If you can ask an apartment neighbor to babysit, why can’t Grandpa babysit?

After asking that question, I went out and found a mod that does just that! I’ll give it a try next time I need a babysitter.

Yeah, we all knew the baby would end up on the floor eventually.

Sofiya to the rescue!

Kylie came home with a promotion!

Snuggle times in the hot tub.

Sofiya went to bed, but Kylie wasn’t tired, so she headed to the kitchen to do some cooking with fire.

“Wow, this is delicious! I think I like it better than omelettes.”

“Blech! Maybe omelettes are better after all.”

“Oh! A baby!”

And horrible pink pajamas. Shower, stat.

“Bye, sweetie, I’m off to work.”

After Sofiya left, Kylie headed to bed, as she had to work that night.

Sofiya came home after earning $30,000 from a chance card. These ladies are rolling in money, it seems.

Birthday time!

Denise grew up very cute, and very much Kylie’s daughter – she’s only 1 personality point off from Kylie.

Kylie barely had time to scarf down a slice of cake before heading off to work.

Toddler training seems so easy when it’s only one.

Promotion! Kylie will probably get her LTW next season.

Denise got new clothes and is super adorable.

That’s it for this chapter! Next up are Stepan Pavlov and his puppy.
