It’s time for the Cooke family! They’re a very large family, so this will be a long and chaotic update.

Front row, left to right: Kelly, Jenna, Donovan, Jordon, Sharlene

First thing in the morning, the children were all cruelly forced to skill.

The family couldn’t even wait until it was light out to enjoy the warm summer weather.

They had a big platter of pancakes for breakfast…

And then leftovers for 2nd breakfast, for those who didn’t get in on the first round. They need a bigger table, or just a second table.

Kelly and Donovan didn’t know any other kids to befriend, so they made friends with each other.

Colin went into labor, and invited all the kids to come watch. It’s like a live health class!

Colin gave birth to a baby girl, named Emmie.

She was followed by her twin sister, Merilyn.

Everyone was super excited about the addition of two new family members.

Except for these three, who were still lingering over brunch. But none of them are technically related to the babies, anyway.

Speaking of the babies…you may notice that these two little ones don’t appear to be alien. Something got glitched with Colin’s pregnancy in the move to a new computer, it seems. In the family tree, they’ve got Colin as their only parent, and I suspect they’re gender-flipped clones. Which means they’re identical. Eh, this family’s weird anyway, they’ll fit right in.

(As far as I can recall, Colin’s was the only alien pregnancy in Willow Valley. But rest assured that if I find any others I’ll take steps to fix them.)

Dustin decided to throw a party to celebrate it being Saturday. Plus he figured his parents and granddads wouldn’t notice 8 extra teens in the house, anyway.

Colin! I did NOT install InTeen so that creepy guys could heartfart their teenage sons’ teenage friends in front of their wives!

They look really excited, don’t they?

Drina tried a couple of times to get her first kiss from Zinaida, with no luck.

Madelina, unsurprisingly, rolled up the want to have a drink.

Donovan was ignored most of the day. He hung out at the piano and earned himself a future scholarship.

Colin, Armando, and Dustin went down to the candy store for a little while. They got the store up to level 6, and Dustin earned a silver sales badge.

Back home, Dustin invited Hadassah back over, and invited her to go steady with him. She accepted!

(Don’t feel bad for Nikifor. He’s about thirteen days older than Hadassah, so that was never going to be long term. But Dustin and Hadassah are pretty much the same age.)

Julien and Armando spend most of their time on free will, and enjoyed a fun dance before bed.

Early in the morning, Grandpa Julien was ready and willing to take care of a stinky baby.

Colin and Madelina are still in love.

The early morning hours were devoted to skilling for the younger kids. Sharlene already had all her skill scholarships, so she enjoyed her favorite hobby of talking on the phone.

Madelina and Colin both had the day off, so they hung out playing catch as the bus pulled away.

Marisa Bendett walked by, and Madelina took the opportunity to make friends with her sister-in-law.

Julien and Armando managed to keep themselves busy.

Madelina and Marisa were still at it when Brownie got home from work and the teens got home from school.

Sharlene brought home Sharla Ottomas, who apparently thinks Sharlene is hot. Unfortunately for Sharla, Sharlene is straight.

They could still have a nice outing, though. While Pavel Hamilton, who came home with Dustin, stood on the sidewalk and looked lonely.

None of the kids brought anyone home on the bus, but Ezechias Gavigan walked by shortly afterward.

Dinner was served to approximately a third of the sims in the house.

Ginny Thayer came by to steal the paper, and Kelly figured she take the opportunity to get Ginny in her contact list.

“Ooh ooh ooh, smustling is awesome. Hey, Grandpa’s a Popularity sim!”

So I was expecting Grim to come for Julien and Armando at 6 pm, and was so happy when he didn’t that I completely missed the pop-ups for Emmie and Merilyn’s birthdays. So they got to grow up at about 2 am when everyone was asleep, instead.

I think it’s Emmie on the left and Merilyn on the right. They are indeed identical, as expected. Fortunately, Colin’s chipmunk cheeks appear to look a little better on girls.

Merilyn got her makeover first just due to logistics.

And yes, Emmie’s dressed the same except for a slightly different hair color – I’ve got to have some way to tell them apart. But I’ve never had identical twins in the Sims before, and I fully intend to take advantage of it.

Sharlene snuck out, and then hurried to the bathroom to brush her teeth first thing after getting back.

Armando made a big stack of pancakes for breakfast, even though Sharlene was the only one interested in eating them.

Jenna and Donovan had left their homework for the last minute, so Julien and Sharlene helped them out before school.

Colin went off to work, hoping for a promotion, while the kids stampeded to the school bus.

Madelina worked on the most important skill with Merilyn.

Then Grandpa Julien took her off for walking training.

When Emmie woke up from her nap, it was her turn.

First Julien, then Armando gave their businesses to Madelina. I was going to let her inherit them, but then I was doing some reading that made me think that might not actually happen, so I figured it would be safer to do it this way.

Dustin brought Faina Thayer home, and Sharlene brought Pavel Hamilton. Pavel, of course, thinks Sharlene is hot.

Now that the house was busier, the girls were happy to play on their bunny heads.

Colin got promoted to the top of the Military career!

Aw, it looks like he’s getting the 15,000 aspiration points for hugging his daughter.

There are always a crazy number of people in this house. Or, in this case, on the lawn.

There was smustling going on inside, too, of course.

As six o’clock rolled around, Armando was dancing with Kelly.

Julien was outside playing fetch with Brownie.

Grim came for Armando first, while everyone stood around and cried.

Then he went outside for Julien, with everyone still inside.

Everyone was really broken up about losing Julien and Armando. Fortunately, the Sim City Insurance Company was there with stacks of simoleons – literally. Everyone but Emmie and Merilyn inherited money, and everyone but Colin inherited from both Julien and Armando. The family funds increased by almost $50,000 due to the inheritance money.

Unfortunately, Brownie ran away as soon as Armando died. Sharlene called to report him missing, but I feel guilty for never getting a collar on him.

Armando and Julien both died at 83 years old (77 plus 2 sips of elixir), both permaplat Popularity sims. They left behind 5 children, 21 grandchildren, and 2 step-grandchildren.

Armando’s insurance benefited 46 sims, including Davis with $9900, Madelina with $9900, James with $9700, Sharlene with $2500, and Dustin with $2500.

Julien’s insurance benefited a very impressive 55 sims, including Kylie with $9900, Madelina with $9900, James with $9700, Dustin with $2500, and Jordon with $2500.

Everybody kept stopping every few minutes to sob.

Madelina changed into her work clothes before realizing that she couldn’t possibly leave her family tonight.

For one thing, there’s another almost forgotten birthday to take care of.

Jordon became a Pleasure/Popularity sim with a LTW to top the Paranormal career, and sadly lost his curls.

Kelly became a Fortune/Family sim with a LTW to become a Mad Scientist like her mom.

Makeovers had to wait until morning, as the twins were both exhausted.

Colin stayed up late teaching Merilyn to talk.

Faina left a hot tub for Dustin! That’ll really beef up the college fund.

While Kelly bought some new clothes for herself and her twin, Madelina sold the businesses she’d inherited, Club C and Cooked to Perfection. Per the rules I established earlier, half of the money from the sale (a total of $155,167) was donated away as estate tax (not counting in the General Fund). Madelina then sent $15,500 to each of her siblings, sharing the money out equally. The businesses will still count in the player-owned business total.

Jordon got his curls back, as well as some much cooler duds.

I like Kelly’s outfit, but I’m not sure about the makeup.

Colin and Madelina had a delicious breakfast of leftover chili after the kids left for school.

Oh, boy, the helicopter is so annoying. I might have to change the ownership of the car.

Colin does look snazzy in his General uniform, though.

Cute toddlers waiting for milk!

Let’s see…Jenna brought Sharla Ottomas home, Jordon brought Pavel Hamilton, and Dustin brought Adam Carr and then greeted Sevastian Thayer as he was walking by.

Kelly ended up hanging out with Sevastian, hanging loose, of course.

Sharlene was the only one who didn’t bring anyone on the bus, so she just invited her boyfriend over.

(Saveliy’s actually un-invitable by legal means while he’s in the Sim Bin, apparently – he doesn’t show up in Sharlene’s contact list. So I just teleported him over.)

“Hmm, my daughter’s hanging out with a boy. There better not be any inappropriate activity, or there’ll be a shotgun wedding.”

Sharlene got a call that someone found Brownie, but then he never came home. 😦

Emmie wasn’t happy about learning to talk, but she got there eventually.

Merilyn wandered out and found an older sibling to play with her.

Colin corralled her and taught her a nursery rhyme.

Toddler training is now complete!

Poor Colin burned the lobster.

Don’t worry, Colin, everybody else burns it, too.

Colin and Madelina went down to the store with Dustin so he could get his gold sales badge, which he did after about 2 sales. So Madelina went on dazzle duty. They got the place up to level 7.

Back home, Colin headed off to work. I transferred the car to him to eliminate the annoying helicopter. Who goes to work in a helicopter?

For Reno Day, the family bought some solar panels. If I’ve calculated correctly, this should eliminate their bills and give them a small credit (it seems to be about $60 per solar panel).

They also redid the old master bedroom, the room that was Julien and Armando’s. Emmie and Merilyn will move in there when they grow up.

After everyone went to school and work, Madelina was left home with the youngest set of twins. She spent most of the day getting them bathed.

Jordon’s aspiration was getting low, and he was only rolling up stupid unachievable wants, so I broke out the crystal ball. Amy the papergirl was his top teen match.

(Now that I have InTeen, adult matches show up in the crystal ball, and all Jordon’s top 5 were adults. But I’m still rather squicky about young teens dating adults. If he were a couple of days from going to college it might be different.)

Sharlene brought Faina home, and made friends with her while Kelly photobombed.

Then Kelly invited Sevastian over, figuring she’d see where their two bolts of chemistry would take them.

Donovan brought Tommy Ottomas home from school, and then ignored him.

Off to the store, where it was Jordon’s turn to work on his sales badge.

He ate a piece of candy, making his head glow. He also thought Annika Richter was hot, and earned his silver sales badge.

The store reached level 8 and earned a Best of the Best award.

Back home, Kelly found that those 2 bolts of chemistry worked quite well.

A few minutes later, Jordon got his first kiss as well. In the bathroom, with Ginger Newson (who came home on the bus with somebody) trying to shoo them out.

Madelina paid the school taxes of $12,000. The family could afford it easily enough, but they weren’t rich enough for that sum to be pocket change by any means.

Then, um, it appeared that Madelina got mad at Ginger for being poor. What? Madelina, don’t start being a snob like Andrea Bruce, okay?

Well, that moved fast. And it was almost all free will, too. (Must get rid of the censor blur again.)

Sharlene applied for her college scholarships. As of 6 pm on the last day of the rotation, she’s at 3 days to adult. Normally I send teens to college at 2 days to adult, but I’ve decided that I’m going to start sending them early if they’re at 3 days at the end of the rotation, so that they don’t get stuck with just one day at home in the next rotation.

Aw, went to look for Jenna and Kelly and found them doing this.

Birthday time for Emmie and Merilyn! In which everyone noted that Sharlene is still there, and that she is a Popularity sim.

Hooray, no more toddlers!

And yes, they’re still identical.

(Maybe when they’re teens I’ll let them get their own outfits.)

It looks like they’re saying goodbye to Madelina, but actually Sharlene is in the back trying to maneuver her way out to go to college.

Sharlene earned $7250 in scholarships (grades, 7 skills, and dance) and has a trust fund of $54,300.

That’s it for the Cookes! Next up is the Bruce family.

Family: Cooke

General fund contribution: $34,700 (taxes $22, 700, school fees $12,000)

Business: Cooke’s Candies, level 8

2 businesses (Club C and Cooked to Perfection) donated to the town.

Playable sims: 137 (no net change due to 2 births and 2 deaths)

The Cooke Family

Left to right: Julien, Dustin (front), Armando (back), Colin with Kelly, Madelina with Jordon, Sharlene

We begin the day with an electrocution. Fortunately, Julien was ok after a shower.

Colin wanted to buy a business, so he bought Cooke’s Candies. The store sells homemade candies.

(The candy machine at right is a downloaded buyable candy machine that makes candy that goes into the sims’ inventories.)

While doing sales, Sharlene grabbed a chocolate out of a box and chowed down! Apparently she needs more training in how to behave at a business.

Back home, Madelina cooked up some omelettes while Julien talked to his friends about the impending arrival of his 19th grandchild.

Sharlene brought Mireia Picaso home from school and spent the afternoon on an outing.

“Colin! Colin!”

“I’m right here, honey.”

“Augh! Why does this always hurt so much?”

Sharlene was so excited that her mother was in labor, because it meant she would soon Meet Someone New.

2 Someone News, in fact, as Madelina had twins again. Jenna, on the left, and Donovan, on the right, both have black hair and brown eyes. In keeping with Madelina’s spirit of experimentation, they’re the children of the genie. Unfortunately, it appears that genie children are boring.

I do like the new baby stuff, so the babies don’t have to spend all their time shoved away in the nursery while the rest of the family gets on with things.

Dustin had homework undone over the break, and I didn’t notice until after he left for school. Got to do better with the homework.

Sharlene and Dustin get along very well, which is good since they don’t have twins.

Time for the toddlers to grow up, hooray!

Madelina headed off to be a mad scientist, leaving her six (!) kids home with her dads and husband.

Makeovers! I do wish Kelly weren’t slouching, but oh well.

New beds were purchased. With 10 sims in the house, everyone has to share a room.

Colin was tired of the weird hours that came with being Captain Hero, so he transferred to the military career.

Sharlene really is a great big sister.

Kelly and Jordon headed off for an exciting first day of school – private, of course.

With Madelina sleeping and Colin at work, the granddads took the opportunity to bother the babies all they wanted.

Madelina woke up in time for a delicious grilled cheese lunch.

Sharlene once again brought a friend home from school, and was delighted to Meet Someone New.

Jenna doesn’t seem to like her chair. 😦

Julien took charge of making sure Jordon learned to study.

Sim babies grow up so quickly. Thank goodness.

The older kids were excited to have even more siblings to play with.

Colin attracted some unwanted attention while looking for planets.

“Please don’t get me pregnant! We have too many kids in the house already! I know I’m a family sim, but enough is enough!”

Donovan got a new hairstyle.

Jenna’s adorable after a full makeover.

Everyone was very excited when Colin returned home in the early morning hours.

Everyone except Colin, that is.

“Next time, Kelly, don’t leave your homework for the last minute.”

“Sorry, Grandpa.”

Julien and Armando had used up all their vacation days, so they retired. They celebrated by sitting around all day in their pajamas.

I had pretty much forgotten that Brownie had a job.

Madelina taught Jenna how to walk, and wondered how she’d ended up with 6 kids. She hoped Colin didn’t want any more – although if he did, she’d probably go along with it. It was genetic experimentation, after all.

Sharlene wanted a party, so she called up a half dozen of her friends and invited them over.

Brownie returned home from work, then immediately barked at his carpool. He’s not very bright.

Zinaida Parker came home with Jordon, and got to stay past her usual curfew due to the party.

The younger set spend a little time on the block table, except for Jenna, who couldn’t keep her eyes open.

The party turned out great, in no small part because of Sharlene and Saveliy’s relationship.

Colin and Madelina found themselves eating leftovers and chips while discussing politics at 3 in the morning.

As soon as it was light out, the adults headed to the store. They got it up to level 5 before closing down for the season.

Well, it appeared the aliens had gifted Colin with an alien pregnancy after all.

The kids headed off to school while Armando called up one of his many very best friends for a chat.

Madelina spent much of the day bathing the toddlers.

Brownie got promoted to the top of the Pet Security career!

Kelly and Jordon brought home A pluses, although Kelly doesn’t seem to care.

Poor Dustin had to do his homework while his brother and sister hung out with friends.

That night was Dustin’s birthday!

Dustin became a Family/Popularity sim. He decided that he wanted to be Captain Hero one day, just like his dad.

Sharlene continued her Awesome Big Sister streak.

Julien and Armando have managed most of the toddler training this time around, since they don’t have much else to do.

Dustin found he needed glasses like his father.

Colin cooked up salmon for a celebratory birthday dinner, although only half the family was hungry.

Anthony left a very nice outing gift for Sharlene!

Reno Day! 4 bedrooms aren’t going to be enough once Donovan and Jenna grow up, so Sharlene and Dustin get to move up to their own rooms on the 2nd floor.

“Hmm. Still can’t see it, but I know it’s in there.”

“So you’re my sister’s brother, and obviously we both have great taste in hairstyles. Let’s be friends.”

“Yeah, this guy, he works at the cafeteria in the dorm, and he is so hot.”

The toddlers had one last blanket nap before their birthday.

Jordon was tired, so he decided to nap on the couch in his grandpas’ bedroom. It was quiet in there.

“Who’s a good dog? Get the stick!”

Sharlene hosted her second party of the season, with most of the same people.

It went like my sim parties usually do: some smustling, one couple being all lovey-dovey, lots of Hang Loose, and random angry sims.

Dustin surprised me by getting his first kiss from Nastasia Thayer. He’s Family and she’s Romance, but they have two bolts.

Alas, the relationship is doomed to end very shortly when Nastasia goes to college this season.

The party was still going when the toddlers came in to grow up in front of everyone.

They got clothes more appropriate for the upcoming summer season, and Donovan got a new hairdo.

Where do these sims keep learning the Slap Dance from? I know Donavan’s never been to Three Lakes, because he just grew up!

Even though Julien was retired, he still loved to cook, so he enjoyed making a big platter of spaghetti for everyone who was hungry.

Late that night, after everyone had gone to bed, Colin put Dustin through his paces on the obstacle course. I do love that thing – Dustin earned his body scholarship in about 2 sim hours.

That’s it for the Cooke family! Next up is the Bruce family, a small household by comparison.

Family: Cooke

Club C, Rank 10

Cooked to Perfection, Rank 10

Cooke’s Candies, Rank 5

General fund contribution: $25,300 (taxes $18,300, school fees $7,000)

Playable sims: 114 (+2)

Sim multiplier: 50

Population: 5700

This is it! The 17th of 17 households this season!

James, the youngest of the five Cooke children, just moved out on his own. He’s a Knowledge/Pleasure sim with a LTW to be a Celebrity Chef, and already has a job in his dream career. He’s also already maxed all his skills, and has had very little social life up to this point, so I’ll have to figure out how to keep him interesting.

James moved into his brother Davis’s old house. Since Davis and Sandy wanted to make their new place fancy, they left most of the furniture for James.

(Hooray for the Stay Things Shrub!)

James, being a scion of an extremely wealthy family, had a move-out fund of about $40,000. The house cost about $10,000 thanks to depreciation, so James was able to purchase a business right away.

The Better Backyard sells lawn and patio furniture.

“You can play chess outside, by the pond!”

“By the pond? That’s my favorite place!”

After working at the store for a little while, James headed down to his dad’s club. After never rolling any romantic wants during his teen years, he now wanted to go on a date.

Abhijeet was happy to hook him up, in exchange for an introduction to his sister-in-law.

And that was how Merlin Louie fell out of the sky.

James and Merlin just came out of the photo booth. OMG, they actually took photos!

Aw, nerdy little James finally got his first kiss.

Back home, James needed something to do until it got dark. He had the day off of work, so he decided to start working on badges. Flower arranging was first up.

James spent much of the afternoon hanging out with the welcome wagon. He only had about six family friends, and would need more to top the Culinary career.

Getting his first kiss gave James enough secondary aspiration points to write restaurant guides. His available cash was getting a little low, so after the Welcome Wagon went home he banged out a restaurant guide before it got dark.

Finally, it was dark, and James could go outside to work on his OTH of Science. He was determined to not only max his science enthusiasm, but also meet the aliens like his sister Madelina. If he got an alien baby to show for it, all the better.

James didn’t go to sleep until after it was light out. He would continue his quest to meet the aliens tonight.

James spent a little while arranging flowers in the morning, but couldn’t keep his attention focused.

Finally, he gave into temptation and invited Merlin over.

Merlin gladly agreed when James asked him to move in. He’d been a bit at loose ends since his apartment building, the Bachelor Arms, had burned down over the summer.

Merlin is a Knowledge/Family sim with a LTW to top the Science career. Fortunately there’s one spot available.

(I don’t usually dress gay sims in stereotypical outfits, but it seemed appropriate for Merlin. He’s got to lose the potbelly, though.)

“I love you.”

“I love you.”

After his first woohoo with Merlin, James thought he would be happy forever.

“Oh my boolprop…Merlin…really? Yes! Yes, I’d love to marry you!”

Merlin spontaneously decided to make lobster. I made sure the house had a fire alarm installed.

“Oh, no, I burned the lobster I was making for my sweet James!”

James didn’t mind. He had other things than dinner on his mind.

Merlin checked the job listings. There was no Science position available, so he took a job in Business.

Then it was time to get to work on that pot belly.

James was still outside with his flashlight.

“Aliens? Is that you? Come get me!”

“Huh. I wonder if I can see where he went.”

“Hey, James! Did you have a good time up there?”

“Will you still love me, even if I have an alien baby?”

“James, I’ll love you even if you have alien quadruplets. Especially if you have alien quadruplets.”

The guys had just enough time for a little exercise and flower making before work.

“Hey, baby, sit in the back. Then we can snuggle on the way to work.”

James came home with a promotion, having earned his first $25,000! He headed back to work.

Merlin also got a promotion, and hung out with James’ work friend Kaylynn.

Another promotion for James!

Merlin returned to his attempt to get rid of the beer gut.

James returned to his attempt to max his science enthusiasm.

The fridge was full of chili, so James and Merlin had some for breakfast in the morning. They were excited to both have the day off work, and had a full day planned.

“Invisible alien baby! YES!”

Since James is permaplat, I decided to send him and Merlin on down to the store. He did just fine, and the place got up to level 4.

Merlin didn’t know too many people in town, so he was on confused customer duty.

After they finished at the store, Merlin and James headed down to the Willow Valley Cultural Center, aka the museum lot. It’s been there for quite a while, but I don’t think I’ve ever had sims go before.

It’s full of artwork, but also has a wedding hall and banquet center. I don’t think I ever checked to see if it’s actually worth $250,000.

James set up a group with his family and invited them all to come down. Unfortunately, the group size is limited to 8, so he wasn’t able to invite spouses or kids.

It was a lovely ceremony, even if the guests didn’t quite get the concept of sitting in the chairs.

The grooms were both thrilled to be married. James took Merlin’s last name, becoming a Louie.

They decided against going on vacation for their honeymoon due to James’ pregnancy, but they managed to have a private celebration at home.

(Also, the Gavigans have a pretty much direct line of sight from their living room into the Louie bedroom. Heh. Maybe my sims should think about putting up some curtains…nah.)

Merlin, being a knowledge sim, wanted more body points, so he did some yoga while James napped.

Then he made friends with a fellow passing by. Merlin was very excited to learn that Makari was a witch.

After sleeping much of the day, James spent another night stargazing.

“I’m so excited about meeting this alien baby!”

“Me, too!”

“What do you think about having one of our own, making sure the little alien has someone to play with?”

Time for both the guys to head off to work.

Chance card promotion, and back to work.

Regular promotion, and back to work.

Regular promotion!

Merlin looked all season for a job in his LTW career of Science, but didn’t find it.

Merlin figured he should get in good with his fathers-in-law, so he invited Armando over while waiting for James to return from work.

James returned home with a promotion to Celebrity Chef, achieving his LTW. Also, he got a chance card and earned a bonus of $55,000! This means a new house is in their future.

“Hey, guys! Sure, I’ll come visit again!”

“Hey, James, next time you go visit, could you call me so I can go, too?”

“Of course, Merlin! Everyone should get to meet the aliens! Umph. I don’t know if I can get up.”

That’s it for James’ household, which is now the Louie household. And that’s also it for the Fall 3 rotation! I’m super excited about next season and sending sims to university!

Household: Louie (J. Cooke)

Taxes: $0 (new moveout)

Total Town Fund: $242,000

Playable sims: 84 (+1)

Population: 3192

It’s time for the Cooke family!

Back: Armando, Julien holding Sharlene

Front: Colin, Madelina

Not pictured: James – he moved out. I got distracted and missed taking a picture of him.

There’s also a new addition to the family, a puppy named Brownie. You might recall that Annika Richter sold him to Madelina last season.

Madelina spent the morning barfing.

Julien took charge of Sharlene, making sure she learned her nursery rhyme.

Armando relaxed on the couch, listening to Madelina’s lovely piano playing. Colin caught up with a friend before work.

“Oh goodness! Brownie, I’m pregnant!”

Brownie grew up! He looks more like Sarah than any of the others, but he’s still got Danny’s coloring.

Apparently he bonded with James during their short time sharing the house, because he immediately went and curled up on James’ old bed.

Since they’re both permaplat, Julien and Madelina went down to the rarely visited Club C so he could pass on business perks to her (while making money, of course).

Hey, look who’s playing poker together! Maybe they won’t hate each other so much next time they meet.

Julien spent nearly two sim days transferring his perks to Madelina, and they earned $20,000. I’m declaring it a windfall, so Madelina donated $10,000 to the uni fund.

Sharlene earned 8 charisma skill points, so I went ahead and bought her an activity table.

Colin came home with a promotion, Aglaya, and a cold. 😦

Then Makari came strolling by with Blondie, and invited himself in.

The Cookes were out of food, so Julien went to the grocery store.

This is the first time I’ve actually had to send anybody in the neighborhood out for groceries!

Nice job, Colin. You gave your cold to the pregnant one.

Julien decided it would be best to send the assorted guests home.

Finally, Colin was able to make a big pot of comfort soup to cure himself and Madelina. The remaining 4 bowls were stored in the fridge against future need.

Way to be interested in Sharlene’s birthday, guys.

Sharlene finally got everyone’s attention, and grew up super adorable.

I love that dress, but it clashes with her skin tone and therefore will have to go.

Post makeover, Sharlene continues to be ridiculously adorable.

(She moved into James’ old room, which was redecorated for her.)

Colin wanted to get fit and earn a skill point, so he headed out to the backyard for some hoops.

Sharlene had just napped before her birthday, so she worked on her mechanical skill.

“Good doggie!”

Sharlene spent a little time playing with Brownie before finally heading to bed.

Julien got up early and made some candy.

This is not the career reward candy maker. It’s a buyable one that makes actual candies that go into inventory.

Sharlene started the day with a little jump rope.

Everyone sat down for a delicious Sunday breakfast of pancakes.

The Cooke-Pavlovs came over for family Sunday.

“Hey, what’s that?”

“Denise! You were trying to cheat, weren’t you?”

Despite the cheating, Sharlene and her cousin became good friends over the chessboard.

Madelina had to skip much of family Sunday to take a nap.

Colin got home at 3 with a promotion!

Madelina woke up in time to enjoy some ribs with her niece before the Cooke-Pavlovs headed home.

“Clean, clean, sparkly clean…”

Sharlene is a little neat freak.

She then headed up to the roof, and discovered that her OTH was science.

She’s a Star Child, all right.

Leftovers for breakfast!

“Mommy, is the new school haunted? ‘Cause Faina Thayer said it’s haunted.”

“No, sweetheart, the school’s not haunted. It’s brand new! How could a brand new building be haunted?”

Colin and Sharlene headed off to work and school. Sharlene was of course enrolled in private school – she’s my very first private school legacy!

Since Colin is in Law Enforcement, Armando was able to get Brownie a job in Pet Security.

Armando taught Brownie to Stay, so that hopefully he could move quickly up the career ladder.

Madelina spent the morning making candies.

Right around lunchtime, the labor pains hit.

It was a little boy, with Madelina’s coloring. She named him Dustin.

“Our tenth grandchild, Julien! Amazing!”

Colin came home with a promotion, and Sharlene brought home Nastasia Thayer.

The adults headed out to the restaurant for a few hours. No change in rank – it was still level 8 when they left.

Back home, Julien finished painting Colin’s portrait, and hung it up right above Colin himself.

Sharlene just managed to make friends with Nastasia before she had to leave at 6 pm.

“Everybody at school said the building’s haunted.”

“Well, did you see any ghosts?”

“No, but everybody said.”

“A true scientist gathers her own evidence.”

“Math is hard, Grandpa.”

“I know, Sharlene, but you can do it. Just concentrate.”

“Hmm, I wonder if the aliens will come for me? I could have an alien baby, too!”

“Who’s Granddad’s little nooboo?”

Everybody’s favorite breakfast!

I really need to stop having them cook. Their fridge is overflowing with leftovers, but so many sims have max cooking that I’m always letting them serve meals.

Um…I don’t even. The baby glitched and I had to force errors, so I can only figure the sack of money has something to do with that.

Bad omelettes, alas.

Colin and Armando shared a carpool – or they will, as soon as Armando finishes raking the leaves.

My sims pretty much never take baths unless they’re pregnant, or toddlers.

“Oh, hello, Davis.”

“Hi, Dad. I’m definitely not stealing the paper or anything. Heh heh heh heh heh.”

Madelina spent the day home with little Dustin.

(Mad Scientist is an awesome career for a parent, because the hours don’t overlap with most of the other careers.)

Madelina brought Angie Pederson home from school. They spent the afternoon blowing bubbles, which is absolutely an entirely appropriate activity for children and not concerning in any way.

“OMG so hungry. I hope Sharlene’s having fun with her friend.”

Brownie’s gotten into the bad habit of begging for scraps, and the sims have gotten into the worse habit of giving them to him.

Colin brought home a promotion and Aglaya, but fortunately no illness this time.

Julien got a chance card, and earned a $60,000 bonus! That means an extra $30,000 donated to the Uni fund!

Now that Julien was home, it was time for Dustin’s birthday!

He’s a mean little sucker – only one nice point. You can tell by looking at him, can’t you?

Poor Brownie got fired on his very first day! Stupid chance cards.

At least there was a toddler to lick to make him feel better.

Madelina once again rolled wants to teach Dustin all his skills.

Dustin’s training was interrupted, though, when the next baby made its presence known.

The next morning, Colin had to go to work early. He knew he wouldn’t have time to get the 2 body points he needed for his next promotion, but he was sure a little yoga would calm him.

After a delicious breakfast of birthday cake, Sharlene bonded with her little brother at the block table before school.

Julien helped Dustin use the potty before he had to head to work.

Madelina spent the day lazing around and eating, as is only proper for a pregnant sim.

Boy, Sharlene, you look happy.

“I joined the football team!”

Armando really needs a hobby. I make him do all the yard work, and he still has his job, but otherwise he just hangs around.

Sharlene got her 8th mechanical point! That’s two skill scholarships squared away for her.

Colin was thrilled to max his body skill. Hopefully it wouldn’t be long before he was Captain Hero.

“Oh, good job, Dustin! What a big boy you are!”

I finally remembered to have Armando get Brownie back into the Pet Security career. Unfortunately, it was too late for him to go that night.

Why do burglaries always happen on the last night of the rotation?

Officer Ramin Centowski to the rescue!

(Uh-oh – he failed to catch the burglar last time.)

The whole family hurried out to watch the fight. Sharlene, of course, had made sure to make her bed first.

Fortunately, Officer Ramin won this one, and the burglar was carted off to jail.

Everyone headed back to bed except Sharlene, who wasn’t tired enough. She got a start on her creativity skill.

That’s it for the Cooke family! Next up are the Bruces.

Family: Cooke

Club C, level 10

Cooked to Perfection, level 8

Uni fund contributions: $104,600 (regular taxes $20,500, voluntary levy $41,100, windfalls $40,000, school fees $3000)

Total uni fund: $610,100

(On average, each of the remaining families will need to contribute $30,000 to make it to $1 million this season.)

Playable sims: 77 (+1)

Sim multiplier: 27

Total population: 2079

It’s time for the Cooke family!

Back: Madelina, James

Front: Armando, Julien

We return to where we left off with the Cookes last season…

“I am too having an alien baby,” Madelina said. “Brat.”

Then Madelina headed off to work. She doesn’t look at all pregnant from the front in this outfit.

Reno Day! I added a second story, with a nice upstairs platform for the telescope. Because a Knowledge sim is heir.

The second floor is basically a playroom.

I did some rearranging on the first floor, too. I didn’t like the placement of the kitchen, way in the back, so I moved Madelina’s bedroom back there instead. The kitchen moved to what was formerly the playroom/study, with the desks moving into the old nursery and the fun stuff and career rewards going upstairs. Madelina’s old room is empty for the new baby.

Promotion! Is anybody surprised? Madelina then went right back to work.

After getting home from school, James headed to the computer, where he found a job in Culinary. He figured he might as well get a start on his LTW.

Julien and Armando spent the day hanging out having fun.

Guess what happened to Madelina at work…

I send sims on vacation once, and everybody in town is doing that Hang Loose gesture.

Pretty much everybody in this family has maxed Music & Dance enthusiasm at some point.

James decided he wanted to see what unburnt lobster tasted like.

Alas, it was not to be.

“Well, Madelina, when are you going to marry the father of your baby?”

“Dad, I told you, it’s an alien baby.”

If you don’t know where James is, he’s here. On the couch. With a book.

The next morning, Armando got up ridiculously early to play guitar.

Madelina was about to have breakfast when the labor pains hit.

Soon she gave birth to a baby girl. Madelina named her Sharlene.

“Wow! It really is an alien baby!”

Per neighborhood tradition, the family promptly headed out to run the restaurant.

I decided I really want  my playables to come to community lots, so I got some new hacks so they can shop but not have money taken out of their accounts.

Back home, the grandpas discovered a soft spot for their little alien granddaughter.

Madelina came home from her next work shift with a promotion to Mad Scientist, achieving her LTW!

“Bye, kids, I’m off to work!”

“Time for my first day of work! How exciting!”

“Hello, family, I’m home from work!”

Yeah, that’s pretty much how Tuesday went.

Madelina came out to say hi to Neil, and he offered her a blind date! That pretty much never happens to sims who aren’t already married. Since Madelina’s new LTW was to have 50 1st dates, she accepted.

A fellow named Colin fell from the sky.

Madelina took one look at him and gave up on her plan to remain alone. Colin was…perfect.

Colin agreed to move in just before Madelina had to leave for work.

He brought 12k and an empty inventory. No job, but he’s got a lot of skills. So he was some sort of NPC.

Apparently one day is all it takes to make it to the top of the teen Culinary career. Meet James the overachiever.

“Um, hi, did my dads hire a butler or something?”

“Young man, I believe you’ve been watching too many movies.”

James had kind of kept to himself all his life, so Orlando Centowski became his first friend outside the family.

Colin went to the computer to find a job. His dream was to one day be Captain Hero, but there were no Law Enforcement jobs available. He took a position in Criminal in the interim.

Then, thinking maybe it was better if he didn’t look like a butler (or restaurant host, or whatever the heck his job was before he fell out of the sky), he headed off for a makeover. He looks much better now.

Colin is a Family/Fortune sim with a LTW to top Law Enforcement.

Madelina the mad scientist had an experiment she wanted to try.

Of course, she sometimes had to take breaks to care for the result of the previous experiment.

Madelina’s portrait is finished! Julien painted it.

James finished studying mechanical, leaving him with only two skill points to go until he would know everything.

Colin returned home from work with a friend, which is great because he didn’t have any.

The crew headed for the restaurant, taking Colin for the first time. Since he has max cooking, he got to man the grill.

Tons of neighborhood residents hanging out! I like this. I just hope the hack works and they don’t lose all their money.

(Also, Sofiya has stupid pregnancy hair. Boo.)

Colin liked to show his love for Madelina.

That night, they were able to carpool to work together.

Sadly, it wasn’t until after they were gone that I realized I missed the popup for Sharlene’s birthday. She got to have her grandpa bring her to the cake, though.

Sharlene grew up adorable, and with a suitably alien personality – 10/4/9/2/10.

Madelina rolled up wants to teach Sharlene her skills, so Julien gave her her smart milk and set her up on the bunny head.

Madelina got home just in time for potty training. Lucky her.

After Sharlene was tucked in for the night, Madelina headed up to the roof to resume her dance sphere experiment.

James maxed his charisma, and now has maxed skills!

I think Madelina’s experiment may be a success…

Colin returned home with a promotion, but then quit his job when he found an opening in Law Enforcement.

James was a little at loose ends after maxing all his skills. He spent much of the morning playing fetch with a stray dog.

Colin was excited to head off for his first day in his new job.

Madelina stepped off the exercise sphere, both pleased and disappointed. She had succeeded in getting abducted, but the aliens had not impregnated her again.

(Apparently my “no alien sexism” hack doesn’t extend to the dance sphere. I could have cheated her a pregnancy, but I decided not to as Colin’s eager to start his family.)

Colin returned home with a promotion!

Now that Madelina wasn’t so busy with her dance sphere experiments, she could get around to finally falling in love with Colin.

I thought about buying them an arch so Madelina’s dads would come watch, but I’m lazy.

Colin took Madelina’s last name, as she’s the Cooke heir.

Madelina had to head to work right after the wedding. 😦

“So, you’re married to my sister, huh? That’s great! I hope you like grilled cheese.”

Julien spends a few hours on the phone every day, keeping up with his 40 BFFs.

Another day, another carpool.

Not an alien. Hopefully a redhead.

“Say ‘sky child’!”

“So, son, you’re growing up tonight. Excited?”

“Sure am.”

That evening…

James grew up well, and got a promotion!

After getting a nice new outfit, James headed up to the roof to see if he could manage to meet the aliens like his sister.

Here’s an adorable picture of Sharlene to end the chapter!

Next up is the Bruce family.

This is it! The last rotation of Spring 3 – Ashton Cooke!

Ashton, the youngest of the Cooke triplets, is a Family/Grilled Cheese sim who wants to be a Celebrity Chef.

Another move out, another starter house. The bedrooms are big, but the main room’s kind of small.

There weren’t any Culinary jobs available, so Ashton headed off to his interim job in Science.

The welcome wagon came by while he was gone. Bolts stood around heartfarting Sandy for about 3 hours.

Davis returned home late, with a promotion.

He really wanted to invite a specific person over, but she wasn’t home.

So he had a solitary evening of toymaking and grilled cheese eating.

It didn’t take Ashton long to decide that he didn’t like living alone.

Ashton came home the next day with a promotion.

He was finally able to get hold of Marisa and invite her over. He was very happy to see her.

(I was really hoping Ashton would have good boltage with Marisa, after what happened in the hot tub at Nadezda’s dance studio. Ashton’s the one who grew Brittany up, which usually means I get them together, but Brittany’s the only nonmarried sim Stepan’s come across so far that he has 2 bolts with. Ashton now has only 1 bolt with Brittany – it seems to go back and forth – but a solid 2 bolts with Marisa. Hooray!)

Ashton and Marisa had a great date.

Then Ashton said goodbye. He wanted to ask Marisa to move in, but he couldn’t quite get up the nerve – he was afraid she would say no.

Ashton had some studying to do for work.

He decided to break up the monotony by inviting Makari over for an outing.

More toymaking.

As soon as it was light out, Ashton called up Marisa again.

They both had the same thing on their minds, so they headed for the couch.

“Marisa, would you be interested in moving in with me?”

“Oh, Ashton! I’d love to!”

Ashton had to head off to work, leaving Marisa alone in her new home.

Marisa worked in the medical field, but there were no medical jobs in Willow Valley, so she headed to the computer to find a new one. Her dream career wasn’t available, so she took a job in Athletic as a stopgap.

Makeover time! She can keep the dress.

Marisa Bendett is a Fortune sim and rolled the secondary of Grilled Cheese, just like Ashton. Her LTW is to top the Dance career, which is great because there just happens to be one spot open.

The fridge was full of leftover grilled cheese. Marisa thought this was going to work out quite well.

As soon as Ashton returned home from work, he and Marisa headed out to their newly purchased business.

Tots Best Toys sold toys and playground equipment of all kinds.

It’s the 15th player owned business! That opens up another Business District, increasing the SM to 20 and the population to 1100! Positions in medicine and journalism are now open, and politics is unlocked.

A quick date before opening up the store was quite productive.

Ashton made toys, while Marisa handled running the business. For some reason, the place wasn’t very popular with customers – after 24 hours, it was still only level 1.

Still, they ended the evening on a high note.

They headed home for a private wedding ceremony.

Mr. and Mrs. Bendett

They then moved to the couch to celebrate their wedding.

They headed to bed for their wedding night, where Marisa dreamed about…Ethan Barrett? Um, ok, then.

Over a grilled cheese breakfast, Marisa thought about how nice woohoo was. Ashton was a family sim and wanted a few kids, and she was ok with that – especially since it would take woohoo to get them.

After breakfast, Marisa searched the job listings. There was no position in Dance, but she did hurry to let Ashton know that a Culinary position was open.

The grilled cheese didn’t go down too well.

Ashton headed to work, and returned an hour or so later with a chance card promotion.

What better way to spend a suddenly free afternoon, than by painting a picture of the best food ever?

Also, Ashton maxed his arts & crafts enthusiasm.

“Honey, we’re having a baby.”

“That’s amazing.”

“A cozy home with the woman I love, my dream job, and a baby on the way. Life is awesome.”

Shortly after Ashton left, Marisa headed off to work herself.

They returned home with double promotions.

Marisa headed off for a nap, but was woken by Pop #2.

“Honey! I found a job in Dance!” Marisa called excitedly.

“That’s awesome, sweetie!” Ashton shouted back, before stuffing a handful of chocolate in his mouth.

And…Spring 3 is finished! It’s been a long haul, but all households are now ready for summer aside from a little bookkeeping.

The next to last household of Spring 3 is Davis Cooke.

Davis is a Pleasure/Family sim who wants to top the Slacker career. Fortunately, there’s a position open thanks to Aglaya Hamilton’s internet cafe.

With so many move outs the last couple of seasons, I’ve had to add a couple more starter homes. I like this one. Like the others, it’s 2 bedrooms and 1 bath on a 2×2 lot.

Davis hit the jackpot with the jobs listings: there was a position in Slacker, and the car pool rolled up about 20 minutes after he took the job.

Davis came home with a promotion and found a housewarming gift on the lawn!

First thing after getting home, Davis called over his girl Sandy, who arrived fresh from work.

After a nice date, Sandy agreed to move in.

Then she was quite happy to help Davis break in the couch.

Sandy is a Romance/Fortune sim with a LTW to top Culinary. She brought in 14k in cash and another 10k in inventory items, giving her quite enough cash to purchase a business.

The new business, called Sleep Soft, sold comfy beds and would eventually add dressers.

After Sandy fixed up her hair and makeup, she and Davis went on a quick date before opening up the store.

Sandy sold beds like crazy, eventually gaining a gold sales badge, and they were able to fill out the store with dressers. By the time they headed home, Sleep Soft was up to a respectable Level 4.

Back home, Sandy got some new clothes.

“I’m not sure I should be doing this…but will you marry me?”

I do have a tendency to marry off Romance sims – if they don’t have a “20” LTW, and as long as one member of the couple has the want. I had the want to get engaged by Davis locked for a while until Sandy didn’t have the fear.

No red rings. I think that’s a good sign.

Since Culinary hadn’t shown up yet, Sandy headed off for another day as a Business shill.

Davis had 3 days off in a row, leaving him with little to do except hang around the house painting a portrait of his fiance. He was cool with that plan.

Sandy came home with a promotion! Davis and Sandy decided they were going to save up for a couple of seasons, so they could buy a sweet party pad with plenty of places to woohoo as well as fun stuff like a bubble blower and a bar.

Sandy and Davis celebrated the end of the workday with a date.

Sandy didn’t have a fear of marriage after the date, and Davis had the want, so they exchanged rings, with Davis becoming Mr. Fairchild.

The next day consisted of more painting.

Portraits finished! They’re asymmetric, but eh.

Sandy searched the job listings and found her desired job in Culinary! This gave her the day off.

She celebrated with a nap.

It was so nice being off with Davis. Plenty of time for fun that way.

The fun was interrupted when Sandy suddenly felt sick to her stomach and had to rush to the bathroom. Could she be pregnant? That had not been in the plan.

While Davis slept peacefully, Sandy stayed awake and contemplated. She was a Romance sim; she wasn’t meant to be a mother. At least there could be no doubt that Davis was the father. Not that she had any compunctions about woohooing with others, but she’d hate to have to tell Davis she was carrying another man’s child.

She managed to get only a little sleep, and was woken up from her catnap by her first pop.

“Yes, sweetie?”

“We’re having a baby.”

“That’s great!” Davis frowned. “I mean, if you’re okay with it. I know you didn’t really want kids.”

Sandy sighed. “I suppose I’m all right with one.”

“Davis, do you think we’re getting too domestic?” Sandy asked as she ate her breakfast toaster pastry. After all, she was married with a baby on the way, a position she never would have pictured herself in.

“No, Sandy,” Davis said from the easel. “We can still party and have lots of fun. One baby won’t ruin that.”

Sandy wasn’t about to miss her first day in her dream career on account of this darn baby, so she headed off in her underwear.

She returned only a couple of hours later with a double promotion – one by chance card, and one by networking. I didn’t know that was possible, but I’m not complaining.

Davis, sadly, was not so lucky, as he was demoted for playing video games on his lunch break.

That’s it for the Fairchild household! Only one household to go in the season!

It’s time for the first new move out household of the season, the Cooke-Pavlov household!

 Left Sofiya, right Kylie

They moved into this lovely blue house. It’s the biggest starter home yet in the neighborhood, thanks to combining 2 move out funds.

I really like this house. 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, plenty of space. There’s even an unfinished basement.

Sofiya’s LTW is to send 3 kids to college (even though she’s a romance sim), so the house is designed to have enough room for 3 kids.

Kylie’s in the Business career, but her LTW is to be a Criminal Mastermind. So first thing she sat down to look for a job. Alas, no luck, so she headed off to work.

Right after Kylie left, her brother Davis came in to heartfart Sofiya. Funny, because they hate each other.

Still, Sofiya tried to make polite small talk over a lunch of chef salad. She had the day off, and almost wished she had work to go to.

Kylie came home from work with Meadow Pederson, who seems to come home from work with everyone. She got a promotion. It wasn’t such a big deal since Business wasn’t her dream career, but the money was nice.

Ignoring their house guests, Kylie and Sofiya headed off to break in their new bed.

There was no reason for this. They were just engaging in post-woohoo flirting when Davis came in and started slapping.

“Take THAT! And get out of my house!”

Kylie didn’t say anything. She knew her wife could handle herself.

Then it was time to have a nice relaxing evening.

“Oh! See, I told you I got pregnant at my birthday party last season!”

“Huh. Is it mine?”

“Silly Romance sim. Of course it’s yours.”

That’s when I realized that Sofiya needed 3 more friends for a promotion, so Kylie headed off to befriend Meadow.

Look who couldn’t stay away.

Meanwhile, Sofiya called her sister-in-law Noelle over to befriend her. One to go!

(My friend counts are usually quite sufficient with very little effort on my part, but it seems Sofiya and Kylie are friends mostly with their families. If relatives by marriage and each other’s relatives didn’t count, they probably wouldn’t have any friends at all.)

No surprise what Kylie made for breakfast.

“Sorry I started without you.”

“No worries. You’ve got to feed that baby, too.”

Love their complementary PJs!

After Kylie headed off to work, Sofiya called over her soon to be friend. Hooray for networking – he gave them a TV!

The Cooke-Pavlovs are the first to hire a gardener, because neither one of them is interested in watering all those flowers.

Sofiya didn’t go into work until later, so she headed to the couple’s newly purchased business, Paws.

As you might have guessed, Paws is a pet store. Now sims can buy pets without having to adopt strays, hooray!

(As I do with clothes, I’ll probably cheat and let sims buy pets off the computer rather than having them actually go to the store. I’m lazy like that.)

New businesses can usually be run by one sim, especially if that one sim is already permaplat with a gold sales badge and bronze cashier badge like Sofiya. She hung out for about 12 hours and got the place up to level 3.

Back home, Sofiya worked on her self portrait for a bit. I love how the eyes are the first to emerge.

Then off to work in a very Romance sim appropriate outfit.

Intelligence is actually a pretty awesome career for a female romance sim, as long as it’s the “seduce the enemy” type of espionage work.

Kylie got home in her pajamas less than an hour later, with another pointless promotion (except for the sweet ka-ching of cash, of course).

Fortunately, there was a Criminal position available when Kylie checked the computer. She snatched it up.

Since she didn’t go in until very late that night, she headed off to take a nap.

Sofiya got home early with a chance card promotion, and Bolts!

Just one more day!

“You know, you could take your maternity leave and stay home.”

“Nah, I’m finally in my dream career! Plus I’ve heard the Llama Queen likes women in pajamas.”

After Kylie left, Sofiya returned to her studying for work.

Kylie also came home with a chance card promotion, and had a quick dinner before heading to bed.

The next morning, Kylie called over Stepan and went on an outing, so Sofiya would have enough friends for her next promotion.

The ladies spent the morning painting.

I liked the sexy dress better.

After a shower, Kylie returned to the easel. The baby was due late in her work day, so she had to take the maternity leave.

“Augh! Why couldn’t Sofiya have gotten pregnant?”

It was over quickly, though; in just a few minutes, Kylie was holding baby Denise.

(The Cooke-Pavlovs will be alternating English and Russian names.)

A crib and changing table were purchased for the nursery.

(Yes, Denise is a girl. These go better with the decor.)

Sofiya came home with a promotion to the top of the Intelligence career! She’s also earned $50,000 already.

Sadly, topping Intelligence doesn’t unlock anything. Silly me, why didn’t I get her into a useful career? Ah, well. She makes almost $4000 per work day, so there’s that.

This is what they do when I leave them on free will.

Stepan dropped off a hot tub! Thanks, Stepan!

They have about $25k in the bank thanks to all the promotions, so I think I’ll let them keep it.

Back to the pet store, before somebody gets pregnant again. Kylie gained her gold badge, and they got the store up to level 4 and made more money.

Simultaneous swooning during the post-business date!

Kylie was really happy that Sofiya was home.

Oh dear. What could this mean?

Military uniform? Really? I think at level 10 I should be able to choose what she wears to work. I would definitely choose the sexy black dress.

Kylie decided to hire a nanny for a couple of hours so she could get to work on time.

Wow, she’s actually feeding the baby.

Leo cameo! If you can ask an apartment neighbor to babysit, why can’t Grandpa babysit?

After asking that question, I went out and found a mod that does just that! I’ll give it a try next time I need a babysitter.

Yeah, we all knew the baby would end up on the floor eventually.

Sofiya to the rescue!

Kylie came home with a promotion!

Snuggle times in the hot tub.

Sofiya went to bed, but Kylie wasn’t tired, so she headed to the kitchen to do some cooking with fire.

“Wow, this is delicious! I think I like it better than omelettes.”

“Blech! Maybe omelettes are better after all.”

“Oh! A baby!”

And horrible pink pajamas. Shower, stat.

“Bye, sweetie, I’m off to work.”

After Sofiya left, Kylie headed to bed, as she had to work that night.

Sofiya came home after earning $30,000 from a chance card. These ladies are rolling in money, it seems.

Birthday time!

Denise grew up very cute, and very much Kylie’s daughter – she’s only 1 personality point off from Kylie.

Kylie barely had time to scarf down a slice of cake before heading off to work.

Toddler training seems so easy when it’s only one.

Promotion! Kylie will probably get her LTW next season.

Denise got new clothes and is super adorable.

That’s it for this chapter! Next up are Stepan Pavlov and his puppy.

It’s time for the Cooke family! Left to right: Julien, James, Madelina, and Armando.

Davis and Ashton moved out, giving me a total of 13 households and opening up another NPC lot. I built a military lot, so the military career is now unlocked.

I made only some minor changes to the house for Reno Day. Madelina stayed in the same bedroom, but got a double bed since she’s the heir. James moved into Davis and Ashton’s old room, leaving his room empty for a future nursery. James still has 11 days as a teen, so he’ll be around for two more seasons.

Madelina brought Annika Richter home from school. She’s a new CAS sim.

Annika: “Is that your dad smustling on the lawn? He’s such a dork.”

Madelina: “Totally.”

Madelina wanted to get fit, so she headed off to do some yoga.

Then she wanted to get max enthusiasm in Music & Dance, so it was off to the piano, where she provided accompaniment to James’ studying.

Armando and Julien are both permaplat, so they mostly get to hang around on free will. They spend a lot of time being lovey-dovey.

I sent them to the restaurant, but then my computer decided to shut down, so they came back home and the kids had to go to school. Alas, no restaurant today.

Eventually I’ll get somebody a pet, but for right now petting strays is where it’s at.

Madelina brought Annika home from school again.

Annika: “Drums are so cool! I love drums, don’t you?”

Madelina: “Definitely. We don’t have drums in our house, though. I don’t know why not.”

No room, maybe?

As soon as it hit 6 o’clock, Madelina made the phone calls and invited the whole family over.

Sofiya and Davis did not get along very well.

Davis learned that it was a bad idea to mess with Sofiya.

Anyway, time for the main event: Madelina’s birthday!
