It’s a brand new season in Willow Valley, and time for the Pavlov family!

Left to right, back to front: Nikifor, Noelle, Vanya and Kir, Saveliy

Unlike his twin, Saveliy still had quite a few skill points to earn to get all his skill scholarships.

Vanya and Nikifor replanted the garden in the early hours of the morning.

All the kids managed to do their mandatory daily phone-a-friend before school.

There was a girl on the bus who was new in town, so Saveliy invited her over after school.

Nikifor, more interested in the company of robots, earned his silver robotics badge.

After work and school, Noelle went down to the fish market with Vanya and Saveliy. She hadn’t gone to the businesses much, so she worked on earning her gold sales badge.

The store earned another Best of the Best award, bringing the total up to 4.

The store was also a good place for rebuilding relationships, since college kids still need groceries.

On the way home, they stopped at the pet store and got another cat. Because 2 isn’t enough, obviously. They named her Lucy Fur.

Upon arriving home, she went straight for the nearly destroyed catnip mouse.

Saveliy, in an effort to earn cooking skill, made delicious sparkly spaghetti for dinner. Everyone loved it except Kir, who was disappointed it wasn’t chili.

Noelle had the next day off and was home by herself. She spent the time puttering around the house, catching up with old friends, and indulging in her favorite hobby, skilling.

After school, Saveliy invited Sharlene Cooke over for a date. Nikifor greeted Ginger Newson, who apparently had a good time yesterday and was walking by, and Kir brought his step-cousin Zhenya home on the school bus.

Vanya, Noelle, and Nikifor went to Noelle’s store, Hello My Baby. Noelle earned her gold sales badge, so Vanya was able to start dazzling away, and the store reached rank 5.

Nikifor wanted to go on a hike. Of course, he was attacked by bees upon returning home.

Everyone hung out on the lawn and enjoyed the lovely summer weather well into the evening.

Henry the cat came out to haunt, but didn’t seem to be interested in scaring anyone.

Nikifor wanted to see his grandmother’s ghost, so he went and hung out in her bedroom. Unfortunately, Larisa failed to make an appearance.

Vanya wasn’t tired, so he decided to work on teaching Lucy Fur to Come Here.

(I lost all my unlocked fancy fur colors and collars in the move, so some pets are going to need to get jobs.)

Saveliy finished getting all his skill points for scholarships! Now he can relax for the remainder of his teen years.

Noelle wanted to work on her logic points.

“Oh! Hi, guys! You came back!”

“But wait! Will I get Logic points while I’m up there? Because I was going to stargaze all night!”

Um, Sharlene, Saveliy might be just a little sensitive about that gift right now.

The cats came out in force to welcome Noelle home.

“Woot! Go Mom!”

There was no lullaby, as Noelle’s too old for pregnancy.

In the morning, Vanya made grilled cheese for the boys for breakfast. Noelle had eaten on the flying saucer, so she wasn’t hungry.

She had the day to herself again, and caught up with an old friend before heading to the chess table.

Nikifor decided there were a few experiences he needed to have before he headed off to college in a few days, so he invited over Hadassah Gavigan for his very first date.

Hadassah had brought her brother along, so Saveliy hung out with him all afternoon.

That looks like a nice safe place for a dance.

Nikifor got his first date, and Hadassah got her first kiss – in front of Nikifor’s dad.

Jenna Cooke came by right after Kir got home from school, and they had a nice chat about riding the bus.

As fun as the date was, the post date was even better, and Nikifor was able to cross one more item off his bucket list.

That night, it was Kir’s birthday! The house was already so full of visitors that there was no need to have a party.

Kir became a Fortune/Popularity sim with a LTW to top the Intelligence career.

He’s still adorable.

Lucy Hanby still hates Kir, and I still don’t know why.

After everyone went to bed…

“This looks like a fancy house. There’s sure to be some nice stuff in here.”

“Hey, um, are you coming to steal our stuff? Because that’s not very nice.”

Fortunately, the police arrived right away. Noelle was obviously very concerned.

Officer Centowski got his man, fortunately before the burglar could steal anything.

In the morning, Kir maxed his creativity! That is, indeed, a very creative picture.

Vanya gathered his siblings together for a very special outing.

It was the first time all 7 of them had been together in a very long time.

Willow Valley’s cemetery, donated by the Pavlov family a while back, has two mausoleums reserved for members of Willow Valley’s two oldest families. Pictured here is the Pavlov mausoleum.

Vanya placed his parents’ urns inside.

Larisa and Leo haven’t been difficult ghosts at all, but given that at least one other grave will be moving to the cemetery this season (the Kozlow kids’ father), I figured they should inaugurate the cemetery.

Afterward, the siblings hung out for a few minutes and boosted their relationships before heading home.

Of course, I had to come back later and place the urns properly on the shelves.

Vanya went home to pick up Noelle and Kir, then headed back out for a little business running. Kir, as a newly minted Fortune sim, was super excited.

Since Vanya and Noelle are permaplat, and Kir kept rolling up business-related wants, they ended up staying 12 hours instead of the planned 6. The business got up to rank 7, and Kir earned a gold sales badge and silver cash register badge. Noelle also earned her gold cashier badge as well as a bronze restocking badge.

Back home, Kir invited over Marsha Bruenig. He thought she was really hot.

As Kir was getting to know Marsha, Saveliy invited Sharlene over for a date.

Noelle made a nice lunch of chili for those who weren’t on dates, including Mieszko Kozlow, who had stopped by.

Saveliy and Sharlene had a great date.

I don’t think Kir is first in the neighborhood to get his first kiss from Marsha Bruenig.

Vanya put it off a little by lingering over his chili, but as soon as he got up, it was time to grow up!

He makes a handsome elder, and reminds me of his dad.

Yes, this means all the Pavlov quadruplets will be becoming elders this season. 😦

His everyday clothes are very distinguished, but a bit too formal for his planned primary activity of puttering around in the garden.

His new clothes are much more relaxed. And Vanya’s definitely keeping his full head of hair.

Poor Sharlene. Nibbler hissed at her and scared her so much that she ran off the lot.

“Your girlfriend’s really hot.”

“Yeah, she is. But don’t forget the first rule of brotherhood, Kir: don’t steal your brother’s girlfriend.”

“Got it.”

Kir stayed up late making friends with both his brothers, wanting to have a good relationship with them before they headed off to college.

Saveliy spent the night working on skills with Lucy Fur. I’m hoping to get her into the Pet Showbiz career eventually.

“Do you still love me now that I’m an old man? Because I’m sure enjoying having a young, hot wife.”

“I’m going to be joining you in just a couple of days, honey.”

Kir got his skill points in early, since he’s the only one in the house that still needs them.

Noelle stayed on the telescope a little past 6 am, and got shoved for it.

Vanya spent the morning in the greenhouse, chatting with his plants.

For Reno Day,the family got some solar panels. My goal this season is for every household in Willow Valley to have some items that generate green energy – either solar panels or wind turbines, but the solar panels are a lot more likely for most households.

The Thayers came over for family Sunday, with 7 of their kids. No reason that should make things chaotic, right?

Definitely not.

Amazingly enough, all the Pavlovs managed to meet all the Thayers. Hang Loose was very helpful in this endeavor.

One platter of food was not enough.  There was one lonely bowl of chili left over.

All too soon, it was evening, and time for Nikifor and Saveliy to head off to college.

Nikifor earned $7250 in scholarships (grades, 7 skills, and a surprise Tsang Footwork Award), and has a trust fund valued at $45,100.

Saveliy earned $6250 in scholarships (grades and 7 skills), and has a trust fund of $42,900. I think Nikifor’s extra money mostly came from his Tinkering habits.

With only 3 sims left, the house felt empty. Vanya was glad Kir was still here, at least.

“Again, guys? Really?”

Hadassah brought a piano for Nikifor, not realizing he had already moved out.

“Awesome! You made it back safe!”

“Yeah…why is there a piano on the lawn?”

And that’s it for the Pavlov family! Next up is the Cooke household.

It’s a new year in Willow Valley, and time to return to the Pavlov family!

The Pavlov Family

Left to right: Anya, Nikifor, Vanya, Saveliy (standing) and Feofil (seated), Noelle holding Kir

Everyone headed off to work or school except Noelle. Her sons were rather jealous.

Kir was home, too, of course. He played alongside Alexandra the kitty cat.

There was, naturally, snuggle time.

Feofil brought home David Ottomas, who just moved to town. Unfortunately, they had a couple of interactions that ended negatively, so it seems they are not meant to be friends.

Saveliy is the only one of the four teens who doesn’t have his skills for scholarships yet, so he spent the afternoon with the medical mannequin.

Vanya took Noelle and the younger set of  twins down to the grocery store, where they sold off some excess produce.

Back home, Feofil got back to work on earning his gold fishing badge now that the pond had thawed.

Those who had gone to the store were hungry, except Noelle for some reason.

Also, this happened. I’m beginning to doubt Malvina’s identity as a Family sim.

That night it was birthday time!

Kir is, of course, adorable.

“Are you a burglar? Because I’m really scared of burglars.”

“Nah, I’m not a burglar, I’m your cousin Pavel. Burglars don’t walk around in swim trunks, buddy.”

Post makeover, Kir is even cuter.

Nikifor finally got his chance to make friends with Malvina, which was the whole reason he had invited her over. Pavel spent the time roughhousing with Anya.

Kir went to sleep in Grandma Larisa’s old room, which is a fine place for him to stay for a few days. He’ll get Feofil’s room when Feofil leaves for college.

Saveliy went out with Josiah, after obtaining the appropriate permissions, and had a great time.

Anya and Feofil also went out, although they went the sneaky route.

Nikifor was left by himself while everyone else was out or sleeping, so he spent some time with neglected kitten Nibbler.

Nikifor had all his scholarships, but he still wanted to earn his last two Mechanical points. He figured he might as well build himself a sweet ride while he was at it.

Nibbler was scheduled to grow up later in the day, so Kir figured he might as well enjoy the kitten while he had him.

Hi, gypsy lady! Whyever would you be here?

Noelle had never owned a business before, so she decided it was time. She and Vanya went down by themselves so that Vanya could pass along his wholesale perks.

The store is called Hello My Baby, and sells cribs, changing tables, and other baby stuff.

(I finally downloaded the proper item so that my babies can have bouncy seats and danglers, hooray! They no longer have to be banished to nurseries.)

Appropriately, Samantha Ottomas was one of the first customers.

Back home, Anya began the process of using all the genie lamp wishes for money. I have high hopes for the Pavlov family to make a certain big purchase this season.

Kir needed a friend, so Mhairi Bruce kindly brought her little sister Catriona over.

Nibbler grew up, and looks exactly like his deceased father Henry.

Noelle and Vanya, both being permaplat and at the top of their careers, get to do pretty much whatever they want. This is usually where I find them.

Anya needed a little romance, so she invited Eric over while Saveliy got to know Mhairi Bruce.

After standing by the pond with a pole for about 24 hours straight, Feofil maxed his Nature enthusiasm! Still no gold fishing badge, though.

Anya was glad to finally be in love with someone again – she hadn’t had any love in her life since Ramsay left for college.

Of course, falling in love should definitely be followed by hot tub time.

I kind of thought Saveliy’s first kiss would end up being with Sharlene Cooke, but Mhairi’s a fine choice, too.

Project Sweet Ride was a success!

Family and guests sat down to a delicious spaghetti dinner.

Saveliy woke up early the next morning, and found that skilling could actually be fun if done properly.

“So this apple sculpture was just sitting out in the woods where we were hiking, so we brought it home to sell it.”

And somehow this is legal.

Back to the store, where both Nikifor and Saveliy earned their gold sales badges.

The Cooke-Pavlovs came over for family Sunday, except Kylie. I should get her a job with Sundays off, really.

Kir greeted Greta Fairchild as she walked by, excited by the opportunity to make another friend.

“So, I heard you and Malvina Bruce were kissing.”

“None of your business, jerk.”

Feofil wanted to make friends with David, so he invited him over, but he was rejected again. Poor Feofil.

He finally had some success discussing the weather.

Kir was doing better, playing Cops and Robbers with Greta.

Vanya made a big platter of chili for lunch, but Jake seemed to be the only guest who was hungry.

Hey, look, it’s Zosia Kozlow! She’s a new CAS sim.

Zosia’s first action in her new town is to make Kir cry. Nice one, kid.

He got along much better with Elle Goodie.

Anya had an easier time making friends with David than her brother had.

Feofil went back to the pond while Vanya and Saveliy got the garden in shape.

Leo haunted and cheered for his bed, which is odd since he didn’t sleep for most of his life.

Feofil finally earned his gold fishing badge, earning himself a slot in his LTW career.

Also, that’s 3 generations of Pavlovs who have earned the gold fishing badge, if you count Noelle.

“I see that want to sneak out, young lady! Not on my watch!”

Anya made the bold decision to sneak out anyway. It was her last night as a teen, after all.

In the morning, as Noelle and the kids headed off to work and school, Vanya purchased a couple of huge stupid expensive decorations.

Vanya then invited over a Garden Club representative, while thinking about how happy he was to be married to Noelle.

They inspected his beautiful thriving fruits and vegetables…

And then said that his garden was ok, but he didn’t have enough decor.

I hate the Garden Club.

Although Vanya was disappointed by the Garden Club’s ruling, he was pleased to find after selling the huge stupid expensive decorations that he had $100,000 in the bank. He donated it to the university, to be used in construction of a luxury dorm.

Once the teens got home from school, Vanya took Anya and Feofil to the store. Now that all the teens had their gold sales badges, Vanya could dazzle, and they quickly got the place up to Rank 4.

“You went to my store without me?”

“Yes. Is that a problem?”

“No, I just earned $100,000, so I don’t mind.”

Sharlene happened to walk by, so Saveliy seized the opportunity to ask her on a date.

Kir continued his trend of meeting the girls of Willow Valley by bringing Sharla Ottomas home on the bus.

Feofil needed an aspiration boost, so he invited Josiah over. They were clearly pleased to see each other.

Anya seemed pretty chill about the fact that her brothers were on a double date without her.

Feofil and Josiah fell in love while staring off in different directions.

As night fell, it was time for Anya and Feofil to head off to college.

Anya and Feofil each earned $7250 in scholarships – grades, 7 skills, and dancing skill. Anya’s trust fund has a value of $43,400, while Feofil has $47,700 in the bank.

Larisa came out to haunt for the first time!

Apparently that end table displeased her Fortune Sim self.

Kir moved into Feofil’s old room (blue, at the top). Anya’s old room (top left) was redecorated for Nikifor, while Saveliy got to stay in the big room all by himself.

This is also going to have to count as my Reno Day effort, since I forgot to do anything else.

Vanya was the first one awake in the morning, and got in a little housework before breakfast.

snapshot_ba15400e_bf0448a1Noelle had an urge to fish, so she headed out in her nightie.

“Shouldn’t we be drinking beer while fishing, dad?”

“Beer? What’s that, Nikifor?”

Everyone soon headed off to work and school, leaving the house for the cats.

What is up with all the beer conversations lately?

I was a little concerned about the family having enough money to pay all their bills, but I didn’t realize that Noelle wasn’t at the top of the Oceanography career yet. Not only did she complete her second LTW, but she also earned far more than enough money to pay the $6000 in school fees.

Saveliy had homework again, so Nikifor took charge of weeding the garden.

In an interesting twist, Kir brought home a boy from school.

Nikifor and Saveliy are both tinkerers.

Kir had totally forgotten to do his homework on his first day of school, so Vanya helped him through two sets of homework while Noelle paid the school fees.

Lucy appears to be furious at Kir. I have no idea why. Maybe he didn’t flush the toilet?

We end the season for the Pavlovs with a little 3 bolt stalking. Next up is the Cooke family.

Family: Pavlov

Larisa’s Fish Market, Rank 10

Five & Dime, Rank 10

Hello My Baby, Rank 4

General fund contribution: $22,800 (taxes $16,800, school fees $6,000)

Playable sims: 112

Sim multiplier: 50

Population: 5600

It’s time to get into the winter rotation, which means it’s time for the Pavlov family!

Back row, left to right: Vanya, Noelle, Larisa

Front row, left to right: Saveliy, Anya, Nikifor, Feofil

Vanya was always kept busy in the garden, talking to the plants.

Feofil spent as much time as he could fishing, hoping to get his gold badge before the pond froze.

Anya spent her time doing whatever she wanted, since she had all her scholarships and a nice fat savings account.

The Pavlovs don’t have quite as much spare cash as they did last season, when they contributed over $100,000 for a university without batting an eye. But Vanya still didn’t have any trouble paying over $20,000 in taxes (which was their bill even after a $6,000 tax credit for their 2 level 10 businesses).

After the taxes were paid, it was Reno Day time! The Pavlov house has developed into a pretty nice place over the seasons, but they still had crappy windows and doors.

It took forever to replace all the doors and windows, but it was worth it. It looks much nicer now.

Last season, Larisa acquired a kitten named Alexandra from the Thayers.

At 11 o’clock, she grew into an adult cat! She looks just like her brother Ian.

Noelle got a promotion, continuing to work her way up her second career of Oceanography, despite her alien pregnancy.

All the adults and teens except Noelle headed down to the grocery store to sell off some extra produce.

Back home, Feofil and Anya were famished and headed to the fridge for leftovers. They couldn’t even wait for the grilled cheese their grandmother was making.

Sofiya brought her kids over for family Sunday. Kylie unfortunately had to work.

Larisa’s grilled cheese went over well.

Anya needed an aspiration boost, so she invited Ramsay over for a date.

 Everybody smustle!

After the party, Feofil helped his dad out in the garden and earned a silver badge.

“Well, yeah, dad, I’ll definitely make sure the dorm has a good recycling program when I get to college.”

“That’s good. Well, I’m heading to bed, son.”

Feofil had become addicted to the thrill of sneaking out. Tonight, he went out with his friend Mhairi Bruce.

Unfortunately for Feofil, he got caught putting soap in the fountains at the Cultural Center.

“I can’t believe I got caught!”

Poor Feofil, but it’s not like he actually got in trouble. The only person awake when Officer Demi got inside was Anya, and she certainly didn’t care.

“Grandma, Feofil got brought home by the cops last night!”

“Now, Anya, don’t tell tales.”

“Whatever. I’ll just dance until it’s time for school.”

“Nobody else is going to join me for breakfast? I’ll just have to eat these sparkly pancakes all by myself.”

There was just enough time for a little sibling bonding before school.

It was just Larisa home with Noelle when she went into labor.

Soon she gave birth to a baby boy, named Kir.

Larisa was quite excited, even though Kir wasn’t actually related to her.

They’re a little short on bedroom space at the moment, because I couldn’t figure out how to add a bedroom without making it weird. So Kir’s crib was placed in the kitchen for now.

“I have so many black haired grandchildren. It’s quite puzzling. Which one do you belong to?”

“I’m Aglaya’s son, Grandma.”

Anya was the one who brought Venyamin home from school, but she headed out to tend the garden.

Feofil wanted to make friends with Denise, so she came over as well.

And Semyon Carr made 3 cousins visiting for the afternoon.

That night, it was time for birthdays!

Nikifor became a Knowledge/Fortune sim, with a LTW to top the Paranormal career. Also, he needs a new hairstyle since he looks way too much like Vanya.

Saveliy became a Pleasure/Romance sim with a LTW to be a top Gamer. He liked his chill outfit, but it was a little cold for winter.

Nikifor decided that playing with the nice doggy outside was far more important than rushing to get a new hairstyle.

Larisa went right to work on Saveliy’s new outfit, and he had just enough time to change into it before bed.

“Well, your mom had to go to work really early, little one, but I’ll get you your bottle.”

School time! Feofil almost missed the bus – his sleep schedule’s been off since he got caught sneaking out.

Vanya actually needed a skill point before his next promotion, so he studied a bit before heading off to work.

Larisa, as usual, spent the day puttering around the house thinking about money.

Noelle brought this guy home from work. Yikes.

I said to myself, “Why don’t the Pavlovs have a maid?” I couldn’t think of a good answer, so they hired a maid.

I finally remembered to take a picture of Nikifor’s new hairstyle.

Every time someone in this family goes hiking, they end up pursued by bees.

Heh. The Bruce’s cat beat up a wolf in a fight.

Oh my. I think Nikifor needs to get a hand-me-down sweat suit out of the dresser.

Vanya topped the medical career! That’s his third career topped, and his second LTW achieved.

“Dad! My cousin Pavel’s going down to his mom’s club for a gaming competition! He invited me to go along! Can I?”

“Well, it’s a school night…”

“I’ll be home before it gets too late.”

“Well, all right.”

Time for Kir’s birthday!

He’s a cutie.

Vanya’s not mad at Kir, he’s mad at the most recent burglar.

“How did I get stuck doing this? I’m a Romance sim.”

“Mom, Dad, could you keep it down in there? I’m trying to concentrate.”

Feofil had decided to go out, too (after asking permission this time), so 2 limos pulled up outside the house at 2 in the morning.

Noelle left to go to work for her shift starting at 3 am.

Then Saveliy couldn’t sleep, finally heading to bed about 4 am.

It was a busy night, is what I’m saying.

Kitten time!

Meet Nibbler. He looks like he’s already weary of the world.

And the kitten has been claimed.

Kir’s best friend was his bunny head.

Who needs sleep when there’s a bubble blower?

That afternoon, after getting a promotion, Noelle worked on teaching Kir to walk.

Then it was time to get skilled up for that next promotion.

After school, while Saveliy was responsible and did his homework, Feofil tried to fix things with Michael.

Nikifor and Anya didn’t have homework, so they got the garden weeded.

And Anya is the first to get her gold gardening badge! That’s a requirement for the Pavlov heirship, so Anya’s definitely in the running.

Now that the kids are all teens (except Kir, of course), it’s definitely time for them to be friends.

The pond unfroze briefly, and Feofil was able to get his silver badge.

“Oh no! I think Grandma saw me!”

Apparently Feofil hasn’t yet learned his lesson about sneaking out.

“Who’s a good glowing-eyed doggy? Is it you?”

Feofil is just not having good luck with the coppers.

Noelle had the next day off, so she made pancakes for breakfast.

“Who’s my sweet boy? Mommy gets to spend the whole day with you.”

Larisa took the kids down to the car lot, and it was a disaster. They only sold one car, and the business actually ended up going down to level 2. I’ve never gotten a car lot to work right.

Death, you’re late. I thought Henry was going to have another day.

Really, Feofil, I don’t think this is the time.

I decided to be a wuss and give up on the car lot, so Vanya sold it back to the community for a little over $100k. Then I went into the neighborhood and deleted it, replacing it with a community cemetery. Vanya donated $50k to pay for that, so the number of community lots stays the same, and the family got some of their money back.

Nobody really had many responsibilities that afternoon, so everybody pretty much just hung out in the living room.

“Will I get to see Leo?”

“Oh boy! Let’s go!”

Larisa was 76 days old, 85 days when counting elixir use. The founder of Willow Valley is survived by seven children and 28 grandchildren. Her life insurance paid out to 33 people.

For now, Larisa was laid to rest beside Leo, by the pond. Henry’s grave was placed there as well.

Even though there’s a cemetery now, the family wasn’t quite ready to move the graves there.

Everyone in the house inherited money, even little Kir.

The older twins buried their grief and hung out with friends.

Nikifor figured skilling was, as usual, the best way to make him feel better.

Saveliy thought a night on the town with Akilina would do the trick.

Noelle was glad that Kir seemed to be doing ok. Even though Larisa wasn’t his grandmother, they’d been close.

Except for Nikifor, who’d worn himself out on the exercise bike, the teens all had trouble sleeping. They spent the last night of the rotation hanging out in the game room.

That’s it for the Pavlov family. Unfortunate that we’re ending on a sad note.

Family: Pavlov

Larisa’s Fish Market, Rank 10

Five & Dime, Rank 10

Donated community lot: Willow Valley Rests

Taxes paid: $29,100 (taxes $21,100, school fees $8,000)

Playable sims: 86 (no net change)

Sim multiplier: 38

Population: 3268

Heading into the homestretch of the rotation now with the Pavlov/Parker family.

Left to right: Brittany, Stepan, Akim, Shura

Shura’s still working hard on fishing, to get into her LTW career of Oceanography. Hopefully she can get her gold badge before the pond freezes over for the winter.

Brittany and Stepan have a lot of work to keep the huge garden tended.

Since it was Saturday, Akim decided he was just going to jump rope in his pajamas and play with the dogs all day.

The three adults headed off to their business, Parker Statuary, where they made plenty of money filling those lovely gold bags.

After about 24 hours, the store reached level 10! That’s 2 of 5 done for Brittany’s LTW.

Back home, Shura paid the taxes, and then found a job in Business! Even if she gets her gold badge, I’ll probably still make her become a Business Tycoon before switching over to Oceanography for her LTW.

Puppies! So many puppies. The family has two adult dogs and three puppies.

Brittany bought her next business, which cost $110,000. It’s pretty cool, but the family didn’t have much money left over. That’s why they didn’t pay their levy right away.

Poor Rosalie was pretty worried about Akim, until she got the hang of the “Play Dead” trick.

Shura got her silver badge! Brittany took a maternity leave day, and spent most of the day working on her creativity.

Is that blood? What the heck have those puppies been doing in the doggy beds?

Stepan got a promotion!

This is one of the few houses where I don’t have any permaplat sims, so I’ll be happy when Stepan gets his LTW.

Shura wanted to become fit, so she spent the evening doing yoga.

Just in time for Akim to go to bed, I did a little renovation. At the moment, Akim has the second floor all to himself.

“Yeah, my wife is so huge, she’s bigger than a sumo wrestler.”

“Stepan! Get off the phone! It’s time!”

Say hello to baby Zinaida! Zinaida’s got Brittany’s blue eyes, and blonde hair from her grandpa Leo.

Shura was very excited to have a baby sister, even if it did make her the middle child.

Time for a little puddle splashing to make the night complete.

Shura’s aspiration was pretty low by morning, so she invited over that guy she had her first kiss with over at the Carr’s for a date.

Off to the new business! It’s a roller rink, called Skate World.

Despite the place being chock full of fun – it even has a concession stand! – the average ticket price is still only $27. Definitely not fair considering it cost $110,000. So the family will be dazzling to get sims to pay $100 an hour, to recoup their costs.

Heh, Stepan can’t skate.

Back home, it was time for the puppies to grow up! Violet’s the only one that looks at all like Rosalie.

Clover looks just like Snickerdoodle.

Phil looks like a shaggy version of Snickerdoodle.

The Hamiltons came over for family Sunday.

Everybody loves to smustle on the lawn in the rain!

There was no way the family was keeping five dogs, so Violet was given to Aglaya – she’s already got a male dog at home.

Since Clover looked just like his dad (and the rest of Danny and Sarah’s puppies), Shura sold him to her townie boyfriend.

Snickerdoodle came home with a promotion to Rescue Pet!

“Hi there. Are you my cousin?”

“Yeah, probably.”

Aw, townie guy is actually really cute with Clover. Maybe he can adopt him if he ever gets moved in.

“Mommy and Daddy are woohooing, yes they are! Don’t worry, big sister will take care of you.”

One more dog to get rid of, so Brittany called over her friend Ashton and gave him Phil. Ashton’s a family sim, so hopefully his kids will enjoy a dog.

I don’t know what happened, but Anzhelina seems to be furious at Pavel.

Unfortunately, Brittany had just sent everyone home, so I didn’t get to see the drama play out.

Akim was rather glad that everyone had gone home, and he could read in peace.

Stepan and Shura spent the night in the greenhouse, talking to the plants and harvesting delicious produce.

The next morning, Shura headed off to her very first day in the business career.

“Yay, leftover pancakes!”

“Aren’t you going to work, Dad?”

“In just a few minutes, son. I’m just waiting for your grandma.”

“Hey, Mom, can you watch the baby today? I’m the only one with vacation days, and I’m just a hair away from my lifetime want.”

“Of course! I’m always happy to watch my grandkids.”

Brittany’s at the fancy dress stage of the Music career.

Zinaida was sleeping, so Larisa spent the first few hours of her babysitting time playing with the dogs.

Stepan topped the Journalism career, achieving his LTW!

I’m not sure whether the old guy there is smustling, or just threw out his back.

Stepan also brought home a cold, so he headed straight to the juicer for orange juice. Poor Zinaida was on the floor, but Stepan didn’t dare touch her until he was cured.

Since Stepan was sick, Shura and Akim took care of the garden.

Brittany got a promotion and a preggo pop.

Birthday time!

Zinaida had this weird squinty eye thing going on, so I had a hard time getting a picture of her. Also, she’s got evil eyebrows, but 6 nice points.

Since Stepan’s permaplat now, and not pregnant, he headed to Skate World and got the place up to level 3.

Back home, the plantsims engaged in their usual nighttime activities of fishing and gardening while the rest of the household slept.

Akim had leftover birthday cake for breakfast. He wanted to play with Zinaida afterward, but Daddy said she was busy learning to walk.

Brittany had a healthy vegetable smoothie for breakfast. Yum!

Then she took her maternity leave day to work on her skills.

Stepan also took a vacation day, so he could get the garden tended perfectly.

“Bunny! Bunny is my fwiend.”

Pop #2!

Stepan invited the Garden Club over to do an inspection just as Akim got home from school.

Brittany headed off to Skate World.

The photo booth was extremely popular among both married couples…

And cheaters.

Brittany’s aspiration got a little low, so she invited Stepan over for a date. They ended up making use of the photo booth themselves.

Back home, the Garden Club completed their inspection and rewarded the family with a wishing well! Hooray!

Stepan got the first wish. He doesn’t need love or money, so he wished for wealth. Only $1000, so it’ll probably pretty much just be used for wishing for friends or romance.

Akim and Zinaida became good friends at the block table.

Shura got her gold badge! Of course, I never get the over the head icon when I really want it.

She’s level 8 in the Business career, so I’m going to have her top that before moving on to Oceanography.

Stepan headed off to Skate World for the last visit of the season, and got the place up to level 5.

Back home, Akim got in a little chess before school.

Stepan painted his own portrait ages ago, but he’s been slacking on getting Brittany’s done.

Score! Genie lamp!

I put in the corner. They can use it next season.

Everyone headed off to work and school, leaving Brittany with Zinaida and a fridge full of leftovers.

“Yeeow! Going into labor while mopping up dog pee? Totally unfair!”

Brittany had a baby boy, named Lyosha. He’s got Stepan’s black hair and brown eyes, and Brittany’s fair skin.

The nursery was decorated in an alien green theme back when Akim was born, and no one ever saw any reason to change it.

“Yay, I have a brother! If it had been another girl, I’d have been way outnumbered.”

Since it was the last day of fall, Brittany sat down and paid all the money the family owed into the town fund, a total of $82,900.

(One of the reasons I’m keeping up the extra money collecting, even though I’ve got the university, is that it’s helping to get families’ finances into a state where they might actually have to be concerned about money a little.)

Shura got up to level 9 of the Business career, and brought home Annika Richter.

Stepan got a $48,000 bonus via chance card!

(See what I mean about getting rid of extra money?)

Feofil stopped by for a visit, which he really should do more often since he only lives across the street.

Shura got a bad chance card and lost 3 logic points, so she spent the night trying to get them back.

That’s it for the Pavlov/Parker household! Next up is the Fairchild family.

Household: Pavlov/Parker

Total town fund: $209,400

Playable sims: 81 (+2 this rotation)

It’s time for a new season in Willow Valley! The overarching goal for this season will be the acquisition of uni funds. More on that later.

This is a ridiculously long chapter, full of teenage drama and shenanigans. You’ve been warned.

First, a visit to the neighborhood. Most of the residential lots can be seen here. I placed a CAS family that’ll be played at the end of the rotation, which was the 16th household! So the big building to the lower right of the large rock is my free lot, the Willow Valley K-12 School. Now the kids don’t have to be bussed to Maple Hill anymore.

While I was school hunting on Mod the Sims, I also downloaded a proper sports lot. It’s a soccer stadium, where the minor league Willow Valley Boars play. They have a 0-6 record, but at least they have heart. This lot is actually worth over $250k. The old placeholder Athletic lot, the Roller Rink from the bin (which was never meant to hang around for 2 years), has been removed.

Now, on to the Pavlov family!

Back row, left to right: Larisa, Vanya, Noelle

Front row, left to right: Nikifor, Anya, Feofil, Saveliy

The Pavlovs also acquired a pet, an elder cat named Henry.

As cats will, he promptly went to try to destroy Larisa’s bed.

Saveliy couldn’t get back to sleep after the burglar at the end of last season, so he decided he might as well go tend the garden.

Larisa also couldn’t get back to sleep, so she worked on sewing nice outfits for her grandsons.

The kids got to play before school, but since it’s fall, I’m going to make them skill mercilessly.

No real renovations for the Pavlovs this season, just some redecorating. It was time for the log cabin look to go from the interior, although I’m keeping it for the outside. Next season it’ll probably be time for new windows and doors.

The kids headed off to school, still upset about the burglary.

Part of my plan for collecting more Uni funds is increasing the private school fees. Previously, they were $250 per kid per day. Private school will now cost $500 per kid per day, with a recommended donation of another $500, for a total of $1000. The Pavlovs have 4 kids in school. It’s Tuesday, so there will be 4 days of school this rotation. So their school fee contribution will be a total of $16,000.

Vanya paid the season’s taxes. Throughout the challenge, my tax rate has been 5% of net worth. That’s still going to be the mandatory tax rate – in the long term, it seems to be a good number to allow growth. For this season, though, there will also be the option for families who can afford it to make a donation of an additional 10% of net worth. The Pavlovs can definitely afford it. Their net worth is just over $600,000 (including their two businesses), so Vanya paid a total of $90,300 in taxes.

The third leg of my uni funding strategy will be an optional donation when sims get “windfalls” – chance cards, money perks from businesses, genie lamps. Sims will have the option of donating half the windfall money, if they can afford it.

Most of the burden is going to fall on Willow Valley’s richest half dozen or so families. We’ll see if that will be enough to get a university by the end of the season.

None of the adults have to work. Lucky them, they get to stay home with no kids.

Noelle achieved her LTW to top Entertainment last season. Now she wants to top Oceanography. Wouldn’t hurt to try to get her her gold badge, especially since Larisa’s Fish Market has been rather lacking in fish lately.

“Soon it’ll be winter, and then you’ll go to sleep for a little while. So bloom now, and make some fruit for us!”

The kids were doing most of the routine garden tending, but Vanya still needed to talk to the plants to make them as healthy as possible.

Larisa headed down to the Fish Market to stock the shelves. They won’t actually be running it this season, but I’d like to keep it stocked and find out if sims in other households can come in and buy themselves fresh fish and produce. (As long as Noelle acquires some fresh fish, that is.)

Bronze badge!

The kids returned home, and the older set of twins headed out to tend the garden.

Saveliy needed a nap, while Nikifor needed a fun boost, so they were excused from garden chores for the day.

“Vanya, listen, I’m not going to be around forever. I want you to take ownership of the Fish Market.”

“Mama, no, you’ve got lots of time left.”

“I’ve got a little time left – I’m not going to kick the bucket right away. But it would be best if you take over the business now. Doesn’t need much, anyway.”

“Here’s the deed and the extra produce.”

“Thanks, Mom. But you’re going to be around a long time.”

After the garden was tended, Feofil headed to the easel to work on his giraffe painting.

Larisa made complementary fall outfits for the younger twins.

In the evening, everyone gathered together in the living room for Anya and Feofil’s birthday!

Anya became a Romance/Pleasure sim with a LTW to become a top Artist.

(Also, she’s not a Noelle clone, as I thought when she was a child. She’s got Vanya’s mouth, definitely. Not sure about the eyes.)

Feofil became a Popularity/Family sim. He wants to be an Oceanographer, just like his grandma. I anticipate him going to college, though, so skilling will have to come before fishing.

I like that outfit, so he can keep it.

Anya immediately got a new hairstyle – pink pigtails were so childish! Before she could go clothes shopping, though, she had to fix the computer.

Nikifor and Saveliy both wanted to make friends with their cousin Akilina. Fortunately they have two house phones, so they were both able to chat with her.

After going clothes shopping, Anya was quite happy with her new look. It wasn’t very colorful, but the flaming hair took care of that well enough.

Feofil was about to head to bed when he noticed uncompleted homework on his desk. He must have forgotten in from last season. It seemed easy now, just kid stuff.

The next morning, Vanya enjoyed grilled cheese sandwiches with his two oldest. He couldn’t believe they were teenagers.

“You don’t really think we’ll be able to go to college, do you, Papa? I mean, it’s so much money.”

“I’m doing everything I can to get you there, Anya. And I know a lot of other parents in town are working hard, too.”

Nikifor and Saveliy have Fun issues. As in, they need to be having it, all the time.

Finally, they were able to settle down and do their homework.

They finished just in time to make a run for the school bus.

Vanya headed to work an hour later.

Larisa used her very last vacation day. She hasn’t gone to work in 2 or 3 weeks.

Noelle had another day off, so she headed out to the pond and got her silver badge.

Feofil brought home Annika Richter, and went on an outing with her. Anya brought Mhairi Bruce, who she’s already BFFs with, so she headed out to tend the garden.

Silver badge!

As soon as Vanya got home from work, he, Larisa, and the teens headed off. Time to do some badge earning!

“Oh yeah, I’m the hottest sales chick you’ll see today.”

Anya worked on sales and got her silver badge. Feofil manned the cash register with Larisa’s help – the Five & Dime is level 9, so a cashier with no badges by himself wouldn’t work very well.

Back home, it’s skilling time!

Vanya’s new LTW is to top the Medical career. Since nobody else wants the spot, and since I’m hoping the career will be unlocked by the end of the season, I figured he might as well take the job.

After coming home from the store, Anya invited over Ramsay Bruce. She thought he was super hot.

Anya asked Ramsay on a date, but then Annika came over and gave him a big smooch on the mouth.

“All right, let’s finish this date,” Anya said, pulling Ramsay into an embrace.

“But…but…he’s MINE!” Annika cried.

Really, Annika? You want 20 lovers, but they all have to love only you? Isn’t that a little hypocritical?

“Yeah, um, I’m on a date with him right now. Bye!”

“Hmmph. I’m leaving.”

(Next time I see Annika I’m retooling her jealousy settings. Because really.)

“Anyway, where were we?”

Larisa got her gold sewing badge!

Anya got her first kiss! It’s at least Ramsay’s third.

And guess what? Now that Anya’s in high platinum with full mood bars from her date, it’s time for SKILLING!

“Nikifor, did you really see Anya kissing a boy outside?” Saveliy asked at dinner.

“Boys, don’t gossip,” Vanya said sternly – even though he definitely wanted to know more about this boy Anya had supposedly been kissing. She was far too young to date.

Hi, Leo!

Stuck smart milk effect + Education bookshelf + fall skilling bonus = totally ridiculous skilling speed. These kids went from zero to eight skill points in about 3 or 4 sim hours.

“Yeah, I’m old and cranky and tired. I’m retiring.”

After not showing up for work for a couple of weeks, Larisa officially retired. She’ll earn a pension of $650 per day and now gets to do whatever she wants (like she wasn’t doing that before).

I didn’t see it, but apparently Vanya was the recipient of the first ghost scare in the neighborhood.

Larisa made Anya a lovely custom outfit. I like it better than the gray outfit.

Another day of school.

Vanya headed off for his first day as a doctor.

I love how he just picked up a doctor job on the computer. “Where’d you go to medical school?” “Um, I didn’t, I maxed out at high school. I played a lot of chess, repaired a lot of computers, and cleaned a bunch of toilets, though.” “Well, welcome to our team, Doctor!”

Noelle didn’t go to work until 2. She didn’t like working evenings, so she hoped she would get her gold badge soon.

“I’ll show that Anya for stealing my not-boyfriend. I’ll steal the newspaper that no one ever reads! Hah!”

That is a very large fish. I have no idea how she’s going to fit it in the back pocket of her bikini.

Just like any teenagers, Feofil and Anya got home from school and spent the next 5 hours on their cell phones.

Saveliy brought home his best friend, Isaiah Gavigan.

Off to the store.

“Ow, my boobs!”

Poor Anya.

Simultaneous stars from Kylie Cooke-Pavlov and Benjamin Long brought the Five & Dime up to level 10!

“What’s wrong, Anya?”

“I hate chess.”

“Go do something else, then.”

“No, I’m staying.”

“Huh? I’m what? Fit? Oh, cool.”

“Hi, Mommy!”

“Well, hi, Nikifor. It’s 10 o’clock. Shouldn’t you be in bed?”

Feofil trimmed the trees in the garden, occasionally glancing over his shoulder at the pond. Shouldn’t Grandma be going to bed soon?

Just as Grandma went to bed, Dad came out and started talking to the frammin’ lemon tree! What was up with the grownups tonight?

Finally, everyone else was inside, and Feofil was able to make a dash for the limousine his cousin Liouba was driving.

The only other person awake was Anya, and she was too busy looking at the sky to notice her brother driving away.

I thought Annika was going to knock over the trash can, but she ate out of it instead.

Annika, you have money. I promise I’ll send you to the grocery store when I play your house, okay?

No reason why playing the guitar on the balcony at two in the morning should wake anybody up, right? I mean, there’s, like, a wall there and stuff.

“I hope nobody noticed I was gone! I’ll just go use the Energizer and pretend I took a shower really early.”

“Hello, aliens? My brothers-in-law told me you were up there!”

“Wow, that was fast!”

“Wait! I changed my mind!”

Yeah, yeah, everybody always changes their mind.

“Is mom going to be ok?”

“I hope so. You might get an alien brother or sister, though.”

Nikifor had a bit of a hard time concentrating on his homework, but he managed to finish it.

Since the Five & Dime had reached level 10, it was time to buy a new business. It cost $64,000, without merchandise.

This new lot is the 25th community lot, increasing the Sim Multiplier to 27, which puts me over 2000 population! Hooray!

Anya got her 8th body point while color coordinating with the wallpaper. She now has 8 skill points in all 7 skills, so she’ll be able to earn all the regular skill scholarships once a university is opened!

Next maybe I’ll have her work on the dance or pool scholarships.

The kids had to head off to school, with their mother still missing. They didn’t seem overly concerned.

Right after the bus pulled away, the flying saucer showed up.

“Woot! Yeah! Good job, aliens!”

Way to be nice to the abductee, guys.

Vanya headed off to work, while Larisa sat down to pay the $16,000 in school fees for the season.

Noelle got on the phone. “I just got abducted by aliens! It was so awesome!”

Apparently it was field day at school. Also, Michael Bruce came home with Feofil.

Feofil was already friends with Michael, but Anya wasn’t, so they had an outing and got to know each other.

Anzhelina Pederson came home with one of the younger set. The bus pulled away before she could get off, so she just teleported into the kitchen.

“Hello, family! I got a promotion!”

Of course you did.

Welcome to the newest business in town, Pavlov Motors!

Unfortunately, those sweet custom cars out front apparently aren’t OFB enabled, because the sims couldn’t restock them, and the customers threw their bags on the floor rather than paying for them. I got rid of them and replaced them with the boring Maxis cars, but unfortunately the family lost about $25k from the debacle. The business did get up to level 1, though.

Back home, Feofil flirted just a bit with his good friend Michael…

Love, true love…at least until someone grows to adult or goes to college.

The poor Bruce boys are just romance fodder for everybody. Alas. There just aren’t that many teen boys in the neighborhood (that aren’t Pavlovs).

Feofil was a little nervous about using the telescope after what had happened last night, but he did need the logic points.

Noelle had taken a vacation day, and she was glad she’d done it; she’d been able to rest after her abduction and then spend time with all her kids.

Unfortunately, the younger twins are not doing as well with their skills as I’d like. It’s hard to get them to sit down and study.

Anya’s got a long way to go if she’s going to get a dancing scholarship.

8th Logic point for Feofil! That’s all of his skill scholarships. Now he’s got 1 day left to fish before the pond freezes over.

“So, do you think you and Michael are going to go steady?” Anya asked over a late night spaghetti dinner.

“Eh, who knows,” Feofil replied. “Probably not. I mean, he’s probably going to college next season, if we can get one.”

Anya was relieved. She was attracted to Michael, too, and as long as he and Feofil weren’t going steady, she wouldn’t have to feel guilty if anything happened.

The next morning, while eating pancakes, Saveliy disappeared.

Taking full advantage of his invisibility, he stole Noelle’s plate when she stood up to be nauseated, leaving her still hungry.

Vanya and Feofil did some father-son bonding in the time honored traditional way: with fishing poles in their hands.

Larisa took Saveliy for a walk and used her super founder powers to make him reappear.

Off to the store, where Feofil and Anya earned their gold sales badges.

So Larisa and Vanya started dazzling the customers while the kids ran the cash registers.

But even though I got rid of all the custom cars, the customers still threw their bags on the floor.

I finally got rid of some half wall sections and moved the chairs away. Guess you need a space to the side of the cash register? Anyway, it works now, and Pavlov Motors got up to Level 3.

“Here, I want you to have something to remember me by when I die.”

“What? Mom, you’re not…”

“I’m old, and I know what I’m talking about. Take it.”

Larisa’s been sewing a lot, and made a quilt for each of her 7 children. I’d love for her to make one for each of her grandchildren, too, but she’s got 26 of them with another on the way, so that’s not really feasible.

“Oh my, must have eaten too much sparkly food.”

Denial will only get you so far.

Saveliy went invisible again. I decided he wasn’t going to use “but I’m invisible!” as an excuse to get out of studying.

Then I discovered that he didn’t have stuck smart milk like everybody else, which explains why his skill points are so far behind. So I cheated it back.

Future oceanographers, unite!

Larisa invited over the kids who hadn’t come to the car dealership – all except Aglaya, who was working.

“Here, I made you a quilt.”

“Oh, wow, thanks, Mom!”

Noelle got her gold badge!

Alas, no Oceanography today.

Invisible Saveliy: *is invisible*

“Why are you wearing a swimsuit? It’s almost winter!”

“We have a hot tub, doofus.”

Feofil wanted to have a party, so I let him. This is what happened.

“Heh, your brother is such a man-whore.”

“Which one? Oh, it doesn’t matter, they both are.”

“Do you think we should be supervising the teenager party?”

“Don’t be ridiculous. I just caught a fish.”

The Pavlovs definitely have the best party house in town.

Michael’s not a Romance sim. Really, he’s not.

Larisa finally got Aglaya over, and gave her the last quilt.

(Marya and Venyamin didn’t get invited to the party originally, because there wasn’t space, so they came with Aglaya.)

Since the teens were busy partying, Nikifor and Invisiboy tended the garden before going to bed.

Leo came out to join the party! Feofil seemed to find being scared rather amusing.

Makari: “Um, nephew, are you okay?”

With only 7 minutes to go in the party, the po-po decided they’d better hurry up if they wanted to shut this thing down.

“Great party, Feofil!” Liouba called as she flew off toward home.

After everyone else went to bed, Vanya was left with the tidying up.

Oceanography showed up in the computer early in the morning, so Noelle took the job and headed out at 4 am. She hoped Vanya wouldn’t mind if she took the car.

She was glad she’d found the job, because now she could get work out of the way in the early mornings and spend her afternoons and evenings with the kids. There was only so much time before they would all head off for college.

“Hi, Grandpa!”

That’s it for Fall for the Pavlov family! Next up: the Cookes.

It’s time for the youngest Pavlov, Stepan!

Stepan with baby Akim.

Not pictured are the two dogs, Snickerdoodle and Rosalie.

Stepan moved into a new house. It’s not much bigger than his old one, but it’s on a much bigger lot. He has super green grass just because.

Stepan’s helicopter came, but of course he wasn’t going to work – he had to stay home and take care of Akim.

Stepan went in to pay his taxes. Move along, nothing to see here.

Stepan used his inheritance money to plant a nice big garden.

“Who are my good puppies?”

The Welcome Wagon had fun playing with the dogs.

Stepan invited Brittany over!

Stepan’s new pond proved quite popular.

Birthday time for Akim!

He’s a cutie, and has a terrific alien personality – 7/0/10/0/10.

“I wonder if Stepan would notice if I just took this baby home with me.”

Um, sorry, you can’t do that.

Brittany agreed to move in! She’s a Fortune/Popularity sim with a LTW to own 5 top businesses – yikes, another one! She brought $18,000 plus about $15,000 in inventory items. She’s also a General in the military, so that opens an Intelligence position.

Brittany noticed that Stepan’s furnishings were a little lacking. She decided that she wanted to live in a house with a kitchen and a bed, so most of her money was spent building a kitchen and buying a bed. The rest was used to build a greenhouse around the garden.

Aw. Look at Rosalie with her eyes closed in puppy bliss.

“I’m so glad I invited you to move in, Brittany.”

“Ugh, my head feels funny. Is that pollen?”

“Oh, look, it’s a seedling.”

Stepan’s plantbaby is a girl, named Shura.

Shura proved quite popular with the rest of the family.

Brittany and Stepan headed down to the flower shop, where they earned some badges and got the business up to level 7. Normally I’ve been having them roll for their business perks, but Stepan took only money perks as he’s going to transfer the business to Brittany for her LTW.

Normally I have my families work their businesses a total of 24 hours during the course of the season, but since Brittany’s LTW is 5 top businesses, I’ll try to get them to work their businesses 24 hours each day of the rotation, for 120 hours total. I’m sure if I had each family do this my SM would be much higher, but I wouldn’t be able to stand that much business running in every household.

During a break to get aspirations up, Brittany surprised Stepan by getting down on one knee.

“Stepan, will you marry me?”

“Of course I will!”

Back home, Brittany headed to work, while Stepan took a vacation day to care for the toddlers.

Hooray for the block table!

I kind of wish sims could teach plantbabies the regular skills. Maybe not potty training as they have no need for it, but at least walking and talking. But hey, we have the nursery rhyme!

In the afternoon, Brittany and Stepan worked on getting the garden established.

Turns out Brittany’s OTH is Nature! Between that and her LTW, she really lucked out when she snagged a plantsim.

Since Brittany’s going to need a lot of money to buy 5 businesses, and she’ll ultimately make more climbing the career ladder than she will at the top of a career, she quit her job in Military and took a position in the Music career instead.

It was quite late by the time Stepan finally finished planting all the crops.

“Oh, so this is what a bed is for.”

They decided to have a quiet late night wedding ceremony right there in the bedroom.

Brittany’s had a want for Snickerdoodle to get a promotion pretty much since she moved in, so she taught him to shake.

Shura maxed her mechanical skill! That’s…actually kind of sad. Since she now has max Charisma, Logic, Creativity, and Mechanical, there’s no more skilling she can do for her remaining 36 hours of toddlerhood.

“Really, Stepan? You want to give me Sunshine Floral?”

“Well, you want 5 top businesses, and it’s already level 7, so you should have it.”

Then it was time to head back to the store, where the business got up to level 8.

“They told me I needed glasses, but I was like, ‘Pshaw, no’.”

Nadezda has no intention of buying anything, apparently – she just came to hang out.

“I’m so happy with this view, the happiness is just exploding out of my head!”

Yeah. Spores of Happiness. I should use them more often.

Back home, Shura discovered her passion for splashing in filthy puddles and making a huge mess.

“So, Akim, I hear you like to drink milk.”

“I wouldn’t know what that’s like, myself, but it sounds interesting.”

Shura discovered the radio. Definitely less messy than the puddles.

Bronze badge, hooray! I put in the huge garden because long term this is going to be a plantsim house – Shura is already the heir. I’m figuring most likely there will be 2-3 plantsims around most of the time. But for right now, the garden is too much for just Stepan.

Aunt Aglaya came to visit! She held Shura, snuggled her, and played with her for about 6 sim hours.

Puppies! I named them after flowers – the girl is Violet, and the boys are Clover and Phil (short for Philodendron).

Even after a date, Brittany was really hungry, so she made herself some spaghetti.

“Shura’s puppy!”

That would be great if I knew which one that was.

Snickerdoodle got a promotion, hooray! Now I can have green dogs.

“Chibi tamba luna…Akim?”

“No, we’re inside.”

“Go outside!”

Back to the flower shop. Shortly after arriving, it reached level 9.

Stepan got a gold restocking badge! As you can see, he needs it.

Melissa Fancey gave Sunshine Floral its 125th star! Level 10, hooray!

Brittany promptly rolled up the want to buy another business.

Snickerdoodle and Brittany shared a carpool.

“Is this…yes! They’re looking for a journalist to write a Willow Valley section for the Maple Hills news! I’m their man!”

Lucky for Stepan, his brother happened to be visiting.

“Vanya, I got a job in my dream career!”

“That’s great, Stepan!”

“They want me to start right away. Do you think you could watch the kids for me for a few hours?”

“Sure, no problem. Good luck!”

Vanya made a great nanny. Of course, it wasn’t surprising, as he’s got plenty of experience with his own two sets of twins.

Triple promotion!

(Why do the dogs always pee on the sidewalk? There’s grass. Right there. Lovely green grass.)

“You know that guy Stepan? He had two kids out of wedlock!”

Stepan had gone right back to work earlier, and returned a couple of hours later with a chance card promotion. He looks thrilled, doesn’t he?

Time for a double birthday!

Akim continues to be adorable, but that shirt color doesn’t suit him.

Shura became a Knowledge sim, with a LTW to top the Oceanography career. She still hadn’t decided on a secondary aspiration by the end of the season.

The garden had gotten a little overgrown while everyone was at work, so the adults headed out to get it in shape.

“Arr, matey! I be a pirate boy!”

Even pirates have to help weed the garden.

“Oh! Stepan, honey, we’re having a baby!”

I think it’s funny that Stepan will have 3 kids with 3 different “mothers”, even though Brittany’s the only one he’s ever woohooed with.

Shura wasn’t partial to the regular plantsim dress, and decided cloth suited her better.

Brittany sat down and bought her next community lot. It cost about $65k, and they still had about $40k left (all of which is reserved for move out funds for Akim and the new baby).

They won’t go until tomorrow (yes, I’m breaking from my usual pattern and sending her while pregnant). But! Brittany’s new business is the 20th player-owned lot, which means Business District #4 is now available! That increases the sim multiplier to 26, hooray!

Stepan wanted to teach Rosalie to Come Here, so he did.

Eventually she’ll probably get a job. But so far all employed pets have been in Pet Service, which is the only one that’s open. So for right now, she’s just learning skills.

“These pancakes are so good, you’re going to get an award!”

Brittany and Akim have a special bond as the only sims in the house who eat.

“Eating breakfast with Brittany almost made me late for my first day!”

They have lots of money, so Akim was enrolled in private school.

As soon as Akim was gone, everyone else headed off to the new business.

Don’t ask why I decided to make the building all weird, because I don’t know. Anyway, this is Parker Statuary, and it sells statues.

Shura didn’t meet a lot of people, but she did turn out to have 2 bolts with Toby Bruenig.

(I’m not in a hurry to get her married off, at all. The plan is for her to spawn a plantbaby before she gets married, so that the plantsim line has the Pavlov name. But if she spawns too soon, the generations will get smashed together and there will be too many people in the house. So she’s going to get some elixir, and wait to get married.)

Brittany did have to make a few trips to the Energizer – 3 during the 24 hour stint at the store – but she stayed in platinum due to the store increasing in levels, so it wasn’t a problem.

I got Shura on the register early, since a low register badge cashier works best in a low level store. By the end of 24 hours, though, Shura had a silver register badge and a silver sales badge, and Parker Statuary was level 6.

Back home, everyone had the day off. Stepan taught Snickerdoodle to Roll Over for his last promotion.

Brittany weeded the garden – a seemingly never ending task.

Like a good Knowledge sim, Shura sat on the couch and studied.

She doesn’t have a job as of the end of the rotation – she needs a gold fishing badge to get her dream job in Oceanography. Since there are now spots available in all careers, all sims with non career related LTWs (or who are waiting on their LTW for whatever reason) will take jobs in Business. So Shura will get a Business job when it shows up, and hopefully top the career before switching to Oceanography.

Rosalie is a great doggy mommy, always nuzzling her puppies.

“Earlier your dad and I went on a terrific Dream Date!”

“Uh, great, Brittany. Thanks for telling me.”

“Ow! Feels like I got bonked in the head by a badge!”

Shura’s actually a pretty terrible fisherperson. In all the time it took her to get her bronze badge, she caught…absolutely nothing.

Um, Carme, newspaper stealing tip: don’t do it when the owner of the house is right there on the lawn having an outing with his brother.

Even though Brittany was on maternity leave, she headed off to work. At least she’s wearing clothes.

“Well, I never went to school, but I suppose if your homework asks you a question, then you should answer it as best you can.”

“So if I have 7 apples, and I give 3 to my friend, how many apples do I have left?”

“Son, if you only have 7 apples, you should plant another apple tree.”

Akim wrote carefully, “Plant another apple tree,” on his homework.

Stepan and Shura spent the last night of the rotation gardening and fishing, respectively.

Brittany came home with a promotion! I didn’t check when she goes to work next, because it’s the end of the season.

It’s a new season in Willow Valley, which means it’s time for the Pavlov family again! The Pavlovs had a busy season, so this is a long chapter.

Note 1: At the end of last season, I extracted all the born in game and CAS adult sims, plus Annika Richter. If anyone wants someone uploaded, let me know.

Note 2: Historically I’ve added a CAS family every other season, but I’ve decided now that the population is larger and I have an excess of CAS points, I’ll add one every season. You’ll meet them at the end if they don’t show up around town first.

Back row, left to right: Vanya holding Saveliy, Noelle, Larisa, Leo holding Nikifor.

Front row: Anya, Feofil

They have a nice big house that seemed to work pretty well last generation, so no renovations planned.

The grownups went off to do this straightaway.

“Mom and dad are up in their room! Maybe we’ll get a new family member!”

“Feofil, we have tons of family members already. Do you really think we need any more?”

These kids have 11 aunts and uncles and 14 cousins. I think Anya’s right.

Anya and Feofil’s conversation was interrupted when the school bus pulled up outside.

After the kids went to school, Leo, Larisa, and Vanya headed to the grocery store to sell the produce harvested during the spring.

Silly townies and their doomed romances.

Over to the convenience store, which got up to level 9. Larisa now has gold sales, cashier, and restocking badges!

Back home, Leo headed to the garden to tend his beloved plants.

Vanya headed off to work, but the grandparents were there to handle the diaper changes.

Noelle got fit from…eating grilled cheese?

Leo spent the afternoon on the phone catching up with his many relatives and friends.

The kids brought their cousin Dimitri home from school!

Lyov came by unexpectedly to hang out.

Vanya came home with a promotion to Education Minister, achieving his LTW!

Then he congratulated his daughter for  being a grandchild.

Sims are weird.

As 6 pm approached, Larisa felt the need to make out with Leo.

Surrounded by his family, in the house he had built, Leo felt supremely happy.

“Can’t I have a little more time?”

Everyone was devastated as Leo slipped away.

Leo lived a very long life – his official age was 70, but due to his use of elixir he may have been as old as 97.  He left behind his wife Larisa, 7 children (Aglaya, Makari, Lyov, Nadezda, Vanya, Sofiya, and Stepan), and 18 grandchildren (Dimitri, Venyamin, Marya, Pavel, Liouba, Anzhelina, Nastasia, Faina, Akilina, Irina, Semyon, Adam, Anya, Feofil, Nikifor, Saveliy, Denise, and Akim).

His grave was placed out back by the pond, in nature, just the way he would have wanted it.

Leo was well loved, and left money to a whopping 29 people. The top five were all family: Larisa got 20,000, Vanya and Stepan both got 10,000, Sofiya got 9900, and Lyov got 9200.

Larisa wasn’t sure what to do with herself after losing her husband. She’d never been much of a bubble blower, but at the moment they seemed surprisingly appealing.

Anya took it on herself to tend her grandpa’s garden.

Noelle returned from work with a promotion. She was saddened to hear of Leo’s death, but life went on, and she needed a skill point for work.
